wireless media players
« on: Jan 26, 2014 at 04:57 PM »
Good Day,

I have an existing Mede8er 400X2S in my living room.. Using it for more almost 2 years already.. never a problem.

Also have a TV in our bedroom area.. and was thinking if its possible to wirelessly stream movies from my living room hard drives. I currently own a 1st gen WDTV but its quite a hassle to always copy contents from my HD to my USB thumbs in and then stick the thumbs into the bedroom WDTV.

I know i may have to let go of the old WDTV already.. but was going to ask you gurus out there, what would be the cheapest wireless player that could meet my requirements?

I believe that my existing MED 400X2S has network connectivity..How do i connect it to my wireless router.. then how will i connect my new wireless player that i will buy so that i can just stream the contents off the living room HD setup?

thanks po..

Nakabili ka na ba? What did you get? I've been using WDTV Live but I need another one and would like to try another brand.

the best option is

buy NAS then stream the files wirelessly.
Make sure you have WIRELESS N ROUTER, WIRELESS N adapter for your media player.

on my setup

Router  - connected to NAS via LAN Cable
Router - PS3 connected wireless
Router - HTPC Connected via LAN CABLE
Router - Measy X6 connected wirelessly to stream to NAS
IPAD streaming wireless to NAS to play movies

Added ... Cambridge Audio NP30 - stream music wirelessly hehe (care of COURAGE and LOUELA)
