I was able to audition this. Loud and good sounding. But with a price point of P23,000....I'd rather get a decent powered studio monitor. There is a smaller version but I did not get the chance to hear it.

crossed this one of my list due to the price. got a portable braven bt speaker. For the price point, i'd consider Anthony Audio's BT speaker (big boom box) at 12k. not as portable due to the need of a power outlet but it's 100W RMS so power output is loud. haven't auditioned it though but i'm sure would sound better given the size of the box.

The Braven BRV-1 is a good choice. Crisp and clear sounding for it's size.

i really liked the marshall hanwell (bigger brother) priced at 36k. it was really nice for a dock but didn't make sense in terms of price. as i mentioned in my thread, i just got an integrated amp, hooked up my floor standing speakers and attached a BT receiver. spent less than 5k (excluding my speakers). of course, it's not as portable but the sound they produce can never be matched by these docks.

I should have mentioned, I used to have a decent 2.1 av system. For various reasons I had to give it up &  now i'm looking for an alternative. Maybe not as good but something still decent & compact. Anything with a seperate amp or speaker wires is no longer an option for me.

oh ok. haven't tried the stanmore but if it's close enough to the hanwell version, then that will be good. do also audition the jbl onbeat xtream. same price range as stanmore and also packs a punch. if you're ok with pre-loved, check these out:

Thanks for the comments & recommendations guys. Will try them out when possible. As for the stanmore I can confirm price is almost 20k locally. I was also intrigued by the stanmore's multiple input options: bt, 3.5mm jack, rca & optical (pcm). Should I push thru getting it, I'll post a mini review.

Got the stanmore today. Still breaking it in so playing at conservative volume levels for now. Initial impressions: music is crystal clear, it sounds like a big speaker, wont match a system with subwoofer but bass is still surprisingly good, music sounds like its coming fron a single point instead of a soundstage, its not exactly mono sounding but not stereo either. Been using bluetooth so far. Will try rca and optical for tv soon.

Something to consider when choosing a bluetooth speaker is built-in aptx codec capability of both speaker & source device (mobile phone, tablet, etc). Audio becomes very clear.
