I agree with Coach Yeng.  Dapat dito tinawagan ng technical foul man lang or warning or whatever.  May precedent eh.  E di susunod pwede mo tanggalin head band mo at ibang distract sa opponent?  Or medyas mo pwede mo tanggalin para paamoy sa kalaban?

Pangit nga tingnan.

i think they should just let it pass. i mean, how often would something like that happen? di naman kailangan pa gawing big deal yan. funny moment na lang kumbaga.

Before fining Maierhofer, Comm. Cheato Salud should have fined & suspended the referees ....... something that blatant, the refs should have definitely blown their whistle.

That being said, Maierhofer's fine was too much ....... a P20,000 fine is something you give out to guys who hurt and instigate e.g. Belga, Tubid, Abueva, etc.

Belga, with all his physicality and dirty plays, got the raw end of the deal from Red Bull's 7'2 behemoth McMorrow.  I like this guy.  He doesn't complain and welcomes the rough plays in the PBA.  Marunong bumawi.  In short, wise din tumirada.  The last game he bloodied Gabby Espinas that obviously got the ire of Espinas.  Kagabi naman si Belga.

Let's see how he does it with Abueva :D

Bro, when you're that big, you'll consider the smaller PBA players as 'amusing' ...... same attitude that BGK's former import Chris Alexander had. Chill lang hanggat kaya.  O0

Also, I've always said that the best kind of PBA import, has always been those who are non-NBA types ...... mga beterano nang D-League, asian leagues, etc.

Yung show mismo nagsabi na di sya suspended eh. He would even still do the Sports 360 show from Singapore. And that guy hasn't been doing PBA coverage this season so pointless suspending him from something he hasn't been doing.

Nakakatawa itong sina Frankie Lim & Boyet Fernandez - both having horrible PBA stints with GINEBRA & NLEX respectively.

NLEX has been a disappointment the whole season, while GINEBRA even doing worse after Frankie Lim replaced Ato Agustin.

Both Frankie Lim & Boyet Fernandez ruled the NCAA with their loaded rosters. However, now in the PBA, even with loaded rosters (in GINEBRA's case, they are ultra-loaded) ...... bokya pareho.

It just goes to show ...... 1.) In the pros, having the best talent doesn't guarantee wins ...... 2.) Umiikot din ang gulong nang palad - isang araw, mga malalakas din ang makakatapat mo.  ;D

Agree! That's why I really like Juno Sauler. Simple yet instills discipline  Tahimik pero matinik at matalino whatever kind of roster you give him

Not to say that Lim & Fernandez doesn't instill discipline in their respective teams - they both do.

What both are highly lacking are creative offensive sets and in-game adjustments. Exposed sila sa PBA (Fernandez' lone PBA championship was with a prime Kelly Williams, Ryan Reyes, Espino, etc).

As for Juno Sauler, indeed he instills discipline and some decent defense (he belongs to the Ron Jacobs school of coaching) but he didn't do well during his short PBA stint with a loaded GINEBRA lineup.

In the amateurs, you can get away with talent ....... in the pros, you actually have to dig down and be scientific about your defense and offense.

Norman Black said it himself, the main key to winning in the UAAP/NCAA is recruitment.

IMO the only proven coaches who can consistently win & develop either an inferior or superior roster, are Tim Cone, Yeng Guiao & Ron Jacobs.

Norman Black was always blessed with talent when he first coached in the PBA ........ his SMB lineups were legendary e.g. Samboy, Caidic, Calma, etc.

When he left the SMCorp umbrella and got to coach COCA-COLA, he was horrible ....... even making epic failure draft picks e.g. Ordonio, Buenaventura, etc.

He only won again, when he got a prime SANTA LUCIA team, a team ready to win after endless semis stints.

In the UAAP, he won bigtime ...... but like I said, Norman Black was honest enough to admit, that recruitment is the main key to winning in the amateurs.

Tumpak, si John Arigo nga yung Miller wannabe ....... though athletic si Arigo, can jump out of the building but very erratic.

entertaining yung mga quarterfinal games na napanood ko.

sayang yung globalport pero pinakita ng purefoods na kahit low seeded team sila e champion team pa rin sila.
pero ampanget ng uniform nila! haha.
now into semis.  awaiting the winner between smb and meralco.

alaska vs. purefoods
ros vs. smb or meralco
