Guys need some help in deciding what to get.
1. The RCA DV1501 cant be used in the car without an inverter since the power plug is fixed and not an adaptor type?
2. The RF loop is used for what?
3. Either using the RCA or HDMI still have the same picture quality?
4. What is the Coaxial connector for?
5. USB drives should be powered or it can run self powered drives?
6. How long is the antenna cord since I like to place it near the window?
7. Does the older model be used in the car with an adapter?
8. How does it do recording?
Thanks in advance.
Here are my best answers, hope to satisfy your concern:
1) Yup, you will need an adapter to use it in your car. That's I guess the other model comes in.
2) Antenna extension I guess? The manual says it's and RF "Out" too, so I think that's an extension.
3) Most likely HDMI is better as RCA cables are already a thing of a past, RCAs are analog type. Besides there's a reason why there's and "HD" in HDMI.
But don't forget that picture quality is also affected by the signal received.
4) The coaxial looks like for media setup as stated by the manual.
5) Do you mean the large SSD usbs like external HDD? I am not yet sure, but the box is powered by ac so I think it can run those kind of devices.
6) Around 5-6m, plus the magnetic base is a good trait for me since our window frame is metal.
7) If I remember they're also selling a car adapter for the old model of the same brand.
