Hi guys,
Finally back on track. Construction started almost two months ago, my contractor is now finishing the walls of my ht room which is located at the second floor of my house extension. I will be posting pix soon.
PJ just arrived today, Audio Visual Drivers Inc. made a good bargain so I decided to get the Sony 55es.
I would appreciate inputs from those who have tried using Sony 55es on a 135" curved screen. I hope it will work well.
I have B&W 7.1 speakers which has been sitting in the storage room for more than a year now after my first HT room got flooded. I'm planning to upgrade soon, anyone tried 9.X.X atmos set up?
Hi marlon welcome to the gallery, sorry to here about your flooding problem but as you say that looks to be in the past.
Your room is the same size as my finished dimensions & I find it about right.
I couldn't find suppliers for Fiber Glass here in Cebu so used Rockwool from Insuphil - a lot cheaper than Erwin Allen.
I used Green Glue from Erwin Allen for the acoustic sealant, excellent product but very expensive at P1500 a tube (380ml).
RSIC clips & furring channel, again couldn't find a supplier & was not prepared to wait delivery from the UK or US. I improvised using my own form of isolation.
The carpet & underlay I can't help you with as I brought mine with me from the UK.
My thread is a sort of step by step build of my room, you may get a few pointers & I'll be happy to help if you have any queries.
Good luck with your journey to audio & visual nirvana
