ABC has cancelled the legal drama The Practice and its May 16 season finale will also be its series finale.

I am saddened by this news as the series has experienced a resurgence in the ratings due to the mix of new character Alan Shore (played by James Spader), a few special guest stars (Sharon Stone, Chris O'Donnell and Patrick Dempsey), and its usual provocative and intriguing storylines. Hopefully, the new spin-off series would do just as great as this one

I've been waiting for the new season (the last season where they got rid of Dylan McDermott, Lara Flynn Boyle et al and brought in James Spader) on Star World... nag-start na ba?

I'm waiting for this one, too. I checked the Star schedule and didn't see it. Do you know what time av_phile1? Although I saw the last couple of episodes of this season already when it ended and became Boston Legal.

I only saw a few episodes and am not exactly religiously following cable schedules.  I just stumbled into one that has Sharon Stone as one of the lawyers defending a nerd-like guy (prosecuting his wife for bigamy I think)  who discovered his kids are not his but by his best friend.  Then I think he murders the kids.  I actually missed the continuation of this.  A few weeks earlier I stumbled again on one with Chris O'Donnel.   I suppose it was the first season The Practice, right?  So Star World must be airing the old.

You've described Season 8. That's definitely not on Star World yet, man. The Practice isn't currently airing on Star World - I just checked their schedules. I also checked Series, and they're only on Season 7.

Maybe you saw it on RPN 9? I long lost track of that channel's schedules.

Could be mistaken.  I rarely watch local TV stations, except the news on ABS and GMA.   Does RPN 9 air this series? What Days?  I could have sworn I saw a Star symbol on one corner.  Then again, I may have been confused. Thanks for pointing this out.

Star World started the new/last season last night. Replay at noon. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a weekend replay.

Yeah. I set my DVR's timer wrong and only taped 5 minutes of the show, and searched in vain for a weekend replay.

Looks like it. Nothing until the end of August. Darn.

This show is back on Star but this time at 10:00pm (still on Wednesdays). Again, unfortunately, no weekend replay.

Did anyone catch last week's episode? Poor "original cast." They were basically extras while David E. Kelley had the new team of the following season's "Boston Legal" doing all the major storylines/cases.

Very strange, though. The major character launch (other than Bill Shatner) was for Rebecca De Mornay's character - but she surprisingly was not in the final cast of the next show when it premiered the following season.

Must've had poor feedback or something.
