Upgrading the receiver of an HTIB
« on: Apr 20, 2016 at 06:08 PM »
Greetings mga master.

Im currently using an LG HB965tz HTIBhttp://www.lg.com/uk/home-cinema-systems/lg-HB965TZ-home-cinema-system. I'm thinking of replacing the receiver with Denon x2200. Question ko lang po eh pwede po ba speakers wise? Are there disadvantages to this? Due to budgetary constraints, baka two years pa ako bago magupgrade ng speakers.

TYIA.

Pwede rin naman tutunog p rin but beware that most htib satellite speakers are hard to drive, usually 4 ohms or 6ohms even if small in size.in d long run madali macra receiver u making it more expensive option.
My advice:sell ur htib as a whole then buy receiver&regular speakers. The difference in sound quality is night&day bec htib satellites lack midrange. Also u will enjoy it for several years bec it has proper receiver speaker matching.

Ahh ganun po ba sir. Thanks. Ipon mode na lang ulit ako para isahang splurge na. I dont mind the speakers getting damaged but if its the receiver that'll get affected, I'd rather wait and save. Thanks!
