Just to chime in on the 2.4Ghz-5ghz connections.
I used to let the Mi Box to automatically connect to either 2.4Ghz or 5ghz. I am aware that my neighbors are using wifi but I have no idea how many of them are actually broadcasting wifi signals and in what specific channels.
Choosing the right wifi channel can minimize wireless interference. Analyzing the wifi signals in my location, this is what I typically see in 2.4Ghz although there had been days when I see more, and these wifi signals occupy channels that constantly change, an indication that the routers are set to AUTO CHANNEL:
In the 5Ghz, the result yields only a singular user:
Having seen the results, it prompted me to move the Mi Box's connection to 5Ghz to a channel not being used. Hoping that it will give me less interference and a more stable connection. So far in the last 6 months, all is okay.
