Relay seguro sir pwede for mutliple tap or assigned configs para same taps as per TVC pero motor I don't see paano workings neto for a multi tap TVC, remember yout TVC is multi impedance matching/difference kaya selector switch ang dating ng volume pot mo not ordinary POT na say 100K log taper yan, its 12-16 ways switch or more,
See motorized rotary switch.
plus di kaya maingay ang pag volume up/down mo neto using relay or switch? Tik-tak sound?
You'll barely hear it.
This is what's used on a Sonic Frontiers SF1 preamp that I repaired. I can barely hear the relays clicking even with the top cover off.
I believe this advice hasn't been given on this thread but either way you go about with the switching, you'll need to use what is called a "make-before-break" type switch. So if you use cheap rotary switches from Deeco you'll notice a momentary signal drop when you switch between taps, actually you'll lose complete signal if you manage to set the switch between any two positions where it doesn't make contact to any points.
Make-before-break switches are not a must for TVCs and their pretty expensive so most commercial TVC costs' are substantial and has nothing to do with being made by a pinoy. And since this falls under magnetic device classifications, it is needless to say that the copper and most importantly the core must be of exceptional quality, otherwise, phase shifts and frequency cutoffs will be a problem.
As for relay arrays, make sure that the shift register pushes a logic 1 on to the next register before applying a logic 0 on the other, that action will make it behave like a make-before-break switch.
Good luck. Hope this helps.
