i think none.. but what is the definition of cheap -- like unbranded or Chinese writings on the package?
i have a Class A brand Monster Cable S/PDIF and ones that came free with the audio device (Yamaha TSS10 & LG SH5). sound the same when connected/used with NMT/TV to AVR..

Well maybe sa longevity ng life or the quality of materials probably meron. Remember light ang medium ng digital transfer so baka kapag inferior material quality, baka hindi maayos ang transfer. For your safety, its better to buy yun mga not so cheapo optical cables naman if you have the means. Iwas ka sa mga too good to be true prices.

Optical cables have different light transfer characteristics. But then again the word cheap is most often, subjective.
Parang wires. They will sell you #14 pero kapag binalatan mo, #16 pala. What I meant was, those cheap inferior quality. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing which has inferior quality kasi we are not knowledgeable in terms of materials kaya i said:
