Hi guys!
There's a new player in town. The Vero 4K+
Is it good? Will it work with my 10TB drive? Will it stream properly from my NAS? Will it work with my receiver?
Why not try it out yourself?
Some of the things you'll like about it:
1. Very simple to use
2. Quick support.
3. Very active forum. (
https://discourse.osmc.tv)
4. Monthly software updates and software support for 5 years.
5. Auto resolution & frame rate switching
6. Auto HDR switching
7. Bit-perfect audio output - Dolby Atmos & DTS:X passthrough.
Want to try it out? Here are the mechanics.
1. Post your username on this thread. I will contact you with the details.
2a. When it's your turn, make a deposit of Php 8,000 (this deposit will be returned to you when you return the player).
2b. If you prefer, we can meet up and trade deposit with player.
3. I'll send the demo unit to your address. (This doesn't apply anymore if we did step 2b) Yes, even outside Metro Manila. Just not outside Philippines hehe.
4. Try it out.
5a. Send it back and get your deposit back.
5b. If you prefer again, meet up to trade back.
Some notes:
**Still trying to figure this out - I'd rather not put a time limit on how long you can borrow the unit, but I don't want to keep other people who want to borrow the unit waiting. I'll try to issue more demo units when more units become available, but right now there's a bit of a shortage. Maybe someone can suggest an ideal duration for borrowing the unit?
**Nothing here is set in stone, so please share your thoughts about the mechanics of trying out the demo unit here.
**PDVDers who already tried the unit, I think everyone would appreciate it if you can share your thoughts, either good or bad, in this thread too.
Some tips for enjoying the player more.
1. Keep the resolution to 1080p and set the "adjust display refresh rate" to "always" so the player will match the resolution and frame rate of the video you're playing. I will already set this before sending the unit.
2. Tell me ahead of time what set up you have and I will change the settings for you prior to meet-up/shipping.
3. Look for the check list inside the box, this will help you check the items before returning it.
