Cousins now has the opportunity to play a full season after the injuries and prove he’s still an All-Star entitled to a longer contract. In 30 games with the Dubs last year, he had stats of 16p (48% FG), 8r, almost 4a in 25 mins per. He dipped in the playoffs, but he’s only 28 and the potential is still there. And what’s most important: it was AD who helped bring him to LA.
Under the circumstances, the Lakers did well in filling out their roster. They could’ve gotten better shooters, but this is not bad. Next challenge would be working under a new coach/system.
