The Heat was more of an exception than the rule.  Just like 8th seeded teams beating the best team in the conference.  While it's really not uncommon, it's still more of an exception than the rule.  You'd think the Lakers would rather face the Clippers in the first round than the Blazers?

One of the greatest CELTICS ever, RIP Mr. Heinsohn.

Mr. Heinsohn was also the greatest homer announcer ever in the NBA ........... walang mali na ginagawa ang CELTICS, walang tamang ginagawa ang kalaban nang CELTICS.    ;D

The NBA will miss his unique voice and old-school commentating.

Rip Mr. Heinsohn. His days as a nba commentator with Dick Stockston, during the 80s at cbs sports was truly the best for me.

RIP to the great Tom Heinsohn.

As for his broadcasting career, he is expected to be biased or a "homer". He is under the employ of the Celtics organization as a briadcaster.  His partner is Mike Gorman. And together they work for the Cs regional television broadcasts

Much like what Chick Hearn did for the Lakers.

Widely acknowledged and widely recognized na greatest homer itong si Heinsohn. Kahit ang Boston media ay acknowledged nila ito.

Sa sobrang homer niya, hindi nakaka-irita actually .......... part amusing na siya.

It's not a big deal, especially for these old-timers .......... parang si Joe Cantada lang yan, you get to miss the old voices from old days.

Suns interested in getting CP3 via trade.  They badly need someone like him to teach Devin Booker how to lead the team. Booker is locked in until 2024 so its safe to say that they will build the team around him long after CP3 is gone.

he's a broadcaster for the Celtics, natural lang na biased siya sa nagpapasahod sa kanya.

if LA can convert those two inconsistent players into a DeMar DeRozan they would elevate their chances of a back to back championship tremendously.  DeRozan's contract wont cripple their flexibility as well since he has an expiring contract at the end of the year.

DeRozan's liability is on the defensive side.

For me his biggest liability is his three point shooting. Kung ma improve nya yon then solid na talaga sya as a 3rd option kung sakali makuha nga sya. He's money on the midrange though

Yup. That's his weak point as well...his 3pt shooting.  His role for the Lakers though is more on carrying the 2nd team and play making. Dyan inasahan si Kuzma and his scoring skills but he wasn't able to deliver every night.  Insurance nila si DeRozan pag umalis si Rondo.  DeRozan averaged 5.6 and 6,2 assists per game (with far less talent around him) during his tenure with the Spurs.  The spacing and the additional defense big man that the Lakers covet will come from Serge Ibaka with his close to 40% 3pt.

Meanwhile Avery Bradley who is on a team friendly $5M deal isn't going to opt in. Understandable naman kasi teams will offer him more money and longer contracts to secure his future. Lakers might lose Rondo, Howard, Pope, Bradley.  Exciting itong free agency na ito.

The Nets super team suggested by the article with Kyrie, Kevin and Harden simply wont work. All of them need the ball to score in order to be effective.  Those three are not off the ball scorers.  Just watch tons of you tube clips to see James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving just standing there if the ball isn't in their hands.

Scary on paper lang yan in my opinion hehe.

Nice move.  Useless naman yung 28th pick sa LA at this juncture. They don't need another rookie since hindi nga nila mabigyan ng playing time si Horton Tucker who is very skilled.  Now LA can trade Kyle Kuzma + another player for a stretch big.  Sana si Serge Ibaka makuha nila.  Those 2 moves are enough to mitigate the expected exodus of Howard and Rondo for greener pastures.   I kinda feel that Caruso will be moved to the starting 5 now that Green and Bradley are on their way out.  He earned that spot.

They can round up the roster in getting a 3D defensive wing or two.  Pope needs to be re-signed.

^Yeah. Rebuilding din ang OKC and they are stockpiling picks
tapos expiring pa si Green so it's a win win for both teams if the trade pushes thru. Ok nga din si Ibaka. Stretch big that can play defense. If Caruso can be consistent with his shooting eh shoo-in na siguro sya sa starting 5. Ang pangarap ko naman 3&D player for the Lakers eh si Robert Covington. And ano na kaya mangyayari dun sa DeRozan rumors?

Pwede nila i-sign si Pope with a more lucrative 1+1 deal with year 2 as player option.  That maintains their flexibility for the Greek Freak sweepstakes.  I believe that the DeRozan trade will not push thru now that they are positioned to acquire Schroder.  They are essentially getting the same production (20ppg, 4-5apg) with the guy with a far better 3pt shooting accuracy (40% vs 25%) and a much lower salary (15.5M vs 28M).

Roco or Joe Harris will be great additions however its their present salaries and length of contracts that will dictate if the Lakers will be keen on getting them. Roco (13M) has a contract till end of 2022 which doesn't align to the Lakers plans.  Joe Harris (7M) is a far better option since he isn't saddled with a long contract currently.  the challenge there is that he is looking for a better pay based on his performance last year (14ppg with 43% 3pt shooting).  The Lakers won the championship with a shaky 3pt shooting percentages all year long.   Yan ang kailangan nila i-address so that AD's game will really blossom.  If they do that nobody will dare double team AD anymore.
