Best Bluetooth Receiver to be paired with old system
« on: Feb 20, 2021 at 02:01 PM »
I dont know if this has been asked or discussed before.

Whats the best locally available bluetooth receiver that can be paired with my old system so i can stream audio from PC, ipad, phone? SMSL B1 keeps popping out in my search.

Audioengine B1 seems to be a common recommendation but expensive and available in the US. Next is BluDento but not available here.

Thanks to those who will responde.

Wifi is more robust in terms of connectivity and sound quality.  I gave up on Bluetooth a long time ago due to its inherent flaws.

^ How would one go about in upgrading an old amp with wifi connectivity assuming it has no USB connection?

^ Network Streaming Devices or Network Audio Players.  Example: Marantz NA6005/NA6006 or the Cambridge CXN V2.

Personally I use a Sonos Connect so that I have full streaming capability on my HT system.

For a long time ive been using a bluedentohd as back up. You need a transmitter with aptxhd 5.0bt to make the most out of it.

The primary source is a google chromecast audio.
