Realistically siguro Simmons needs to be impressive this year for Philly to move him with a decent haul in return.... honestly, bad advice from his management team, they overestimated their leverage in this
I kinda felt the same way. His management team could have played this differently. That's the ideal scenario. He needs to help his team in order to be traded but unfortunately what happened was the ff:
1. The entire league knows that he has a deficiency in shooting. 3 years and no improvement at all. Cratered last season when he didn't want to shoot anymore.
2. Instead of dealing with the issue internally in the offseason, Rivers and co superstar Embiid threw Simmons under the bus after the playoffs.
3. Simmons then declared that doesn't want to play anymore for the 76'ers. He wants to be traded right now
4. Sixers management wants a steep price in return. They committed 177M till 2025 for Simmons.
5. Stalemate occurred. Very destructive for the team
6. Now he admits he has a mental issue in order for him to skip games and still be paid. Its a sure bet that he will blame Rivers and Embiid for causing that mental issue.
Not gonna be surprised if this ends up in Court.
