Too much streaming
« on: Sep 08, 2022 at 02:49 AM »
We recently added up all our streaming services and it's insane, so now we're trying to pare everything down and might go the rotation of streaming services path, personally we found out the least we use is Netflix, share away your thoughts and suggestions on this

We're just using Netflix because my household loves Kdrama and Anime. If there's any interesting stuff on other streaming services it easy to get - you know what I mean. Having a fiber connections makes this easy.

We have Netflix and Discovery+ in addition to a cable package that also has most of the movie and lifestyle channels. This woke me to also consider to cut down on too much channels. I read that the typical behavior now in the US is to cable cut and switch among the streaming channels when there's a good show and to use the free streaming like Pluto more.

Cut the cables for several years already. VOD is the way to go. Have the following:

Netflix
AppleTV - by default as I have an AppleOne account
HBO GO
YouTube Premium
UltraTek IPTV
Discovery +
Vivamax

Apple Music, again because of my Apple One account but I ditched Spotify already as I find Apple Music better.

Kami we'll retain Amazon definitely kasi tied yun sa Amazon Prime ng anak ko, we also have Disney+, HBO, and Apple TV, syempre add mo pa VPN service, we haven't used cable for 4 years na ata, we just got a GMA Box, and a bunch of streaming services, and we'll definitely use the rotation scheme ..... if you're a PLDT subscriber you'll also get Lionsgateplay for free (1year only)

YouTube premium has nothing compelling so far to justify getting it, asar lang ads keeps butting in at the most awkward moments while you're watching anything

Nakailang free trial na rin ako ng Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Discovery+ at ngayon naman yung Lionsgate. Hindi ko rin masyadong pinapanood. I spend more time with video games kaya baka mas sulit pa sa akin yung Game Pass for PC subscription.

yun ba YT Premium and Music are two separate services? sulit sa amin Spotify, tried the others, Apple and the others definitely has better sound, but Spotify (to me) has the best interface, has better music suggestions more in line with what you personally like

Cut cignal cable a few months back. Pero meron naiwan na free Cignal play sa cp ko kahit closed na cable ko.
Son discouraged me from acquiring iptv (baka daw di safe)
Family Feud and other stuff on YT (wife is following vlogs of pinays married to foreigners.. baka pag ba dedo ako eh mag asawa ng kano haha)
Free CNN snippets
Dati tried 3 months free Apple Music
1 year free Lionsgate play.. really like shows.. nagkalat boobs..

Daughter is sharing Spotify Premium, Netflix, AppleTV and HBO Go

And pa ba meron free?

Only Netflix for us, which is shared under my brother's account, so no cost to me at all. We do maintain Sky Cable, but used only by my mother.

Netflix and Discovery+.  The latter is underutilized, but I subscribed at P99(?) for one year (introductory offer).  Not enough interesting content for me at this time.  Sana man lang kasi may Battlebots...  ::)

All others, I just rent(z).  :D

I might reconsider pag may Disney+ na.

SYNCLER  ;)

SYNCLER + Real-Debrid tapos na boksing hehe

for me right now,  Netflix, Discovery+. more than 2 yrs na din nung pina cut ko cable tv subs namin.

for everything else, I use BMC (a Kodi fork). ang daming add-ons for movies, tv series, cable channels and live & on-demand sports events. subscribed din ako sa real-debrid every 6 months, gamit ko for BMC and CinemaHD.

Agree. Although Apple Music has the HD quality, Spotify has the better interface, suggestions and the playlists especially the genres like Audiophile Jazz and brand playlists like: Focal, Dynaudio, B&W.

yun ba YT Premium and Music are two separate services? sulit sa amin Spotify, tried the others, Apple and the others definitely has better sound, but Spotify (to me) has the best interface, has better music suggestions more in line with what you personally like

Subscriber ako both Deezer and Apple for around 4 months each then my daughters kasi are using Spotify and convinced me mag family plan na lang kami, Spotify is way ahead in terms of ease in use, intuitive pa plus very soon Spotify is coming out with their own HD sound version, I think mahirapan yun iba to keep up

Netflix, Spotify and YouTube Premium subscriber here. Paid sub sa YouTube to avoid ads when watching music videos and YT Music has some songs that you can't find in Spotify. The latter have better audio though.

You tube premium, Netflix and Curiosity Stream and Flixtor…drop ko muna Spotify kase meron na Youtube music inclusion si Premium.  Forgot to renew my IPTV , so far no more time na to watch din kse.  and Flixtor can provide most of the series and movies lol..Netflix mga kids ko lang tlaga nakakagamit.

Netflix - Paid for by my sister. It's her famliy's account. Nakisali na lang ako hehe...
HBO Go - Very cheap lang kasi @ 299 pesos. Pero nagtaas na rin ata ng 100. Malalaman ko yan pag nag renew ako sa November
Tubi - I have this on my tablet. It's free and it has ads pero sulit pag sa US. Dami magaganda movies and series. I just downloaded a VPN app na lang para kuha ko lahat ng palabas sa US.
