Napanood ko yung breakdown ng plays ni Luka dito sa youtube ni Thinking Basketball, ang hirap pa talagang pigilan, no wonder hindi rin kinaya ng Lakers sa nakaraang match up nila. Kailangan ng matinding defensive plan pag nag laban ulit sila.
He plays a position wherein he always has a mismatch amongst many players in the NBA.
He is too big (tall and with mass at that) for a guard. He will just overpower smaller guards with his killer low post moves and drives,
If you give him a big to guard him, he can just use his deceiving quick first step to get a shot off or a foul...worse is that he gets both.
Luka can finish even when he is bumped hard.
Double him and he will kill you with a pass to a cutter or a three point marksman who has all day to aim and shoot, His assist numbers are astounding.
If all else fails for him...he has that unstoppable step back jumper that I have never seen being blocked by anybody. You just end up wishing that he misses the shot.
His main area of opportunity is still the same and that is his defense. He improved this year compared to last year so that's a huge plus. He also kept his weight down to be able to stay up front quick guards plus he doesnt look gassed at the end of the games unlike last year,
He just might be able to win the MVP this year
