i got a chance to own an RS1 bought
pre-owned last weekend....

target was to compare 1st w/ my 602s3
then decide w/c speaker to leave on my
audio rig.

size wise, the 602's are macho looking... very intimidating
compared with the miniscule RS1...

listening impression :
highs - wow!! what great details! left my b&w's by miles!
mids - more forward sounding! sounds more livelier!
lows - this was where the 602's sounded better...
but, for its compact size, the RS1's bass will give
some BS speakers a run for their money!

Final verdict....

RS1 was left to sing with my Audio rig
602S3 was transferred to my HT....

warm or bright is always relative to what you are comparing to ... e.g. i consider them warm when compared to the Polk Audio Rti4

I have a monitor audio br2 partnered with a musical fidelity amp. the amp mellows the somewhat open and energetic highs of the br2. A perfect match i would say as ive come to know monitor audio tests their speakers with musical fidelity amplication.

Baka nasa 14k cash out pa ata sa Audioworld kung may old stock pa. May recent price adjustment sa UK for the br2 from 200 to 230 pounds. So kung new stocks mas mahal na

Bro,

After a long series of auditioning several loudspeakers in the market.  I finally decided and ended having the SF Grand Piano para isang bilihan na lang.  Overall impression with the SF GP, clear and well defined highs, excellent mids as in very warm and have ample lows for my music (depeding on the speaker positioning).  The difference with MA GS20 with SF GP. MA sound bright to me, though the mids were excellent however in comparison with SF, the GP excelled in all aspects and easy to drive @ 90db / 6ohms.  My SF GP is well matched with my AMX Amadeus SR#1 KT90/88 amp especially in triode mode.

Furthermore, SF has an excellent aesthetics and cabinetry (quite heavy though @ 30kgs/enclosure), considered as muebles sa bahay in black piano finish.

Regards,

 :)

try this bro...

thanks,

definitely RS6 over LCR.  there will be less comb filtering on the vertical TMW of the RS6 than the vertical MTM of the LCR.  besides, power handling and overall SPL, im sure mas ok yung RS6 (di ka pa bibili ng stand)
