Nope, will pair it with my current Topping TP60 amp which sounds like a NAD.  ;D

Sir ok po ba yung combination ng tp60 and bx2? Can the tp60 drive the speakers?

the amp/speaker combination still depends on the music you prefer. auditioning is the best way to a right decision.  :)

Bihira kasi ako makapunta ng manila sir. But base sa review and comments from this thread about the bx2 i think i wont go wrong with these speakers. I listen more on rock, alternative, hiphop and rnb. Lately i started listening to bossa nova and some jazz music. Amp na lang talaga ang problema.

I haven't heard it yet with my TP60 but basing on how the BX2 sounded with the NAD 326BEE it should sound pretty close. My TP60 is quite powerful it's 50 watts per channel and it can make my Klipsch RB 61's sound really loud with strong bass.

Sir is it ok if you compare the tp60 and nad on your bx2, Sq and loudness?  :)

I don't have the BX2 yet. I auditioned it at Watt Hi-Fi at Makati Cinema Square but the speaker was bought while I was listening to it.

i had a weird experience with the bx2 though. when we hooked it up to my amp(75w),  relatively mahina ang tunog, so i thought it was my amp that has the problem. but when we tried other speaks (RX2, Rti A3, 685, Primus162)still using my amp with the same volume level, malakas naman sila lahat. isip ko tuloy if mahirap idrive ang bx2. any comments on this?

Hhhmmm 90db sensitivity and 8 ohms means it shouldn't be hard to drive, theoretically.

I think the large dip in the presence section is to blame for this. This reduces apparent loudness since we're most sensitive to this frequency band.

Mnga Sirs, is the GX series already locally available?

Now, that's a nice speaker. :) :) :)

weird, maybe you have mistakenly hook it in a wrong way. let just say, habang kinakabit mo yung wire natangal pala jumper plate? then ang tumutunog lang pala tweeter or mid kaya mahina? Funny but sometimes its happen.

BX2 is a product of the year in UK magazine

Newly minted MA user here!

Still in the process of finding a suitable amp for the MA B1 being dedicated as stereo PC speakers.

For now, I disconnected the HK3470 from my RTiA3s, placed the MAs on the immedate left and right of my monitor, situated the receiver near the PC, hooked up the HK's aux to the analog out of the PC.

All I can say is "major major upgrade" from my Altec-Lansing ADA 305s that has served as my PC speakers since 1996.

Di po ako master, pero so far I've heard it sound good Roksan, Yamaha, CA, Audio Analogue, Marantz and Emotiva. Depende na din siguro sa preference mo kung magugustohan mo, saka kung yung mga accessories eh tumugma din.

Try the RX2 + 650A combo. Or the A5VL + BX2 combo. Even the Marantz PM6003 would surely sound good with the RX2s.  ;D

You are basically correct, the combo of RX2 and CA would be significantly pricey compared to a BX and a5vl combo. not because the RX cost almost double than the bx series, but also because the CA would  ideally  require a matching source (X50c or an external DAC) for the system to sound to its full potential. Unlike the a5vl which has a built in DAC. but what the heck, kayang kaya mo yan master gerard. hakot na  ;D

You'll be amazed at how the RX2 would sound paired with the right amp. :) The only time I disliked the output was when it was paired with a Cayin tube amp. Didn't really pair well. Well, that's just my own opinion. After all, subjective talaga 'tong hobby natin.  ;)
