Ms GINA PARENO never fail to steal the scenes in her movies ("Sana Maulit Muli" and "Kasal,Kasali,Kasalo" comes to mind). All hail!

I can see both points. In terms of screen time,Jay Ilagan and Charo Santos might be the leads (I don't know for sure, I need to use a timer), but in terms of how the character dominates the film--it'd be like Brando dominating The Godfather, when Pacino plays the lead.

That said, I think Silayan's performance is much greater than Brando's.

Yeah. Silayan dominated the whole film. But I really think he's lead because he's the main villain of the film despite on his "limited" screen time. (think of Louise Fletcher in One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest and Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs and yeah, Brando in The Godfather) I believe that him, Ilagan and Santos were all leads in the story (like the three-way Lead in Network: Holden, Finch and Dunaway).  But, its really a big mistake that Gawad Urian puts Jay Ilagan in the Supporting Category that year.

And I agree on the Silayan>Brando comparison.
