[Denon's AVRs get network upgrade] AV Denon has announced a firmware upgrade to a range of its current network capable AV receivers.
Owners of the brand’s highly-rated AVR-3808, AVR-4308, AVC and AVP-A1HD components will be able to download an update which delivers advanced Audyssey signal processing in the shape of Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ, as well as CEC HDMI protocol support.
Once downloaded, the firmware needs to be enabled with an Access key before it can be used, which can be purchased for £70 from a Denon retailer.
When queried about the charge, spokesman Henry Griffiths assured HCC: ‘These aren’t just run-of-the-mill firmware upgrades, but offer extensive new technologies to consumers.’
Well that's alright then...
