I am currently contemplating on switching opamps of a DAC which uses OPA2604. I plan to switch it with AD8066 opamps

Actually sir 5 pieces lang. The total cost is $17.95 inclusive $6 shipping. That's about P208 per browndog shipped. It will come in a thick envelope so directso na sa doorstep mo and bypassed na dapat yung post office para wala ka nang babayaran na tax.

Mga sir reminder lang--maybe you already know this. Check nyo muna voltage going to your opamps (pins 4 and 8 ) just in case it's higher than +-12V which is the max for ad8066. The BBs kasi have higher supply voltage and Rotel might be supplying 15 or so volts. For NADs you're already safe.

Dali lang gawin yan brown dog adaptor, pero sa price nya it's better na bumili na lang kayo ng original dba. Especially for those who are not inclined to DIY.

Like Garp said, better check your V+ and V- with respect to ground. If ever na higher than +/-12V you can always solder a 24V zener diode at the V+ and V- pins of the socket or adjust the regulator that supplies the opamps. This may cause your cdp's peak-to-peak output to be lower becasue of the lower supply.

Special Note: The zener solution has it's own debate between audiophiles and design engineers due to the inherent zener noise, the regulator adjustment is more acceptable than the zener solution as to their standards.

Another reminder: As some of you may already know, fast opamps that are regarded as good sounding ones have a temperamental side.... they oscillate when not properly bypassed.

In the case of the AD8066 with a GBW product of 145MHz, these babies are almost always in the mood for oscillation therefore need proper bypassing for a worry free operation.

Kailangan din sir kasi yung 2604 (same size as the pic above) is a DIP package. The ad8066 is SO8. As to voltage, one is you can use a meter--one probe goes to pin 4 and the other to the chassis. Do the same for pin 8. Or maybe just look at the pair of voltage regulators nearest the opamps. If they're 12 or 9 volt regulators I think its safe to assume puwede na. Tama ba sir Jojo?

Almost...  What if the designer used adjustable regulators like the LM317/337 combo? Your first suggestion is the best. 

Or the most simple way is to measure the voltage between pins 8 and 4 with pin 8 as positive potential. If it's powered from a +/-12 psu then you'll measure  24V between pins 8 and 4.
