i dropped by astroplus tonight, and they still don't know when this will be released. But i'm hoping that they release it soon for us to know all the answers for our questions

Hi! I was able to talk to one of the sales person in Astrovision Glorietta yesterday. According to her, it will take a month pa daw for the release of the dvd. We're delayed one month daw kase. Totoo ka ya ito?

They called VIVA while I was waiting at the shop today, and according to the person on the phone, this R3 boxed set will be in stores by next Tuesday, September 28.

Php 3200 pa rin yung quoted price, though.

wow.. is it really out now? any initial findings of the r3 version? how about the box? is it the same with the r1 release? can some guys post comparisons of the r3 vs the r1 version? thanks!

hi, just got the r3 version of the sw trilogy boxed set... i believe that it has the same box packaging of the r1 version (cept that it doesn't have a widescreen row on top of the box cover art)... it has the shiny silver box with the big face of vader embossed on it and on the other side is the embossed pic of luke and company... the individual dvds have transparent cases, which is good cause the cover has an internal art which can easily be seen in the transparent casing... each dvd also comes with their own inlays which i think is similar to the r1 version (the dvd covers are also similar to the r1 release)... i also think that it has all of the features of the r1 version in it... i'm not sure if the r1 easter eggs are also present... o and btw its the widescreen version...

anyways, the astroplus sales lady in podium also told me that they are selling like crazy! they got 50 boxes and as of today i believe that its down to only 15-20... some astro branches have sold out their trilogy boxed sets...

I looked around Astro Glorietta yesteday but there's no Trilogy there yet. Mabuti pa sa ibang branches meron na. My R1 version may take a month before reaching me because it will be included in a balikbayan box that will be sent our way and I would have like to check out the box personally for now. I can't hardly wait for my own copy and I would be happy just to see an actual package 1 of these days. Mahirap lang sa bigay eh maghihintay ka kung kelan maipapadala. I have the Trilogy on original imported VHS but DVDs are another thing. Parang feeling ko ngayon ko pa lang mapapanood iyong 3. Iba talaga pag DVD. Nakakainggit tuloy iyong mga meron na. Oh well, nothing I can do but wait and hope time flies fast.

Aside from the transparent casing, it does look identical to the R1. Even the sticker "First Time on DVD!" etc. says exactly the same thing. The "Widescreen" markings on the R1 is detachable, actually.

But please let me know, I'm most curious about one thing: since you have the Asian subtitles, what's the Tagalog equivalent of "May The Force Be With You"?
