Got a b,

Bought bulb that is cheaper and better. Image brightness can now compete with commercial projector

Diyprojector is becoming more affordable to low income consumer.

Bought the bulb for 2000 pesos, 2000hours life with 6500K colortemperature. Same characteristic as most commercial projector bulb.

Huddaf,

Sorry I cant build one for you. You have to build one for yourself as my craftmanship is very poor.

Huddaf,

Yes it require patience and creativity.

But its very rewarding. i know how 720p commercial projector look like and I am already near or at it aleady.

Its cheap now or maybe a little higher when you see this at SM applicance center.

I think i have not posted this one.

I build a10.2 inch lcd projector for my brother's restaurant. Ther image size is 212 inches diagonal widescreen.

testing at Home 80 icnhes diagonal

212 inches Diagonal Image. No visble pixelation. Better visit the place if you want to see it.
Moving image when shots were taken a little blurry.

My bro who owned the Resto. The name of Resto is Neighborhood Cafe in BF Las Pinas, Along Palace St. Its now one of the popular place there because it has a swimming pool and of course a huge TV.

DVD on menu-pause

The projector is running 8-10 hours a day everyday since Jan 2009. Running hour is mor ethan 2000hrs exceeding th ebulb life.

Rain or shine, the projector is running.Quite unbelievable. If you live in BF, you will easily find the place.

mga masters do you think removing the lcd panel of a monitor and placing it on top of an OHP produce similar results? if yes would a 7" lcd be satisfactory for a 48" diagonal image? tia

edit: marami na gumamit ng OHP. sample: http://www.inventgeek.com/Projects/HomeTheater/overview.aspx

its front projection.

I dont know exact address, but when entering thru las pinas bf gate near sm southmall, madadaanan mo na daw according to my bro. its along Palace street. neighborhood cafe. kabisado na yan ng mga trycyle driver dyan sa BF tanong mo na lang.

Using the raw OHP, without replacing the light engine will produce dim results especailly when using smaller lcd. The OHP lenses is more suited for 15 -13 inch lcd.
