Receiver Cover
« on: Aug 20, 2007 at 11:03 AM »
Good Morning Mga Sir!

Not sure if this was the right place to post this.  Would you know anywhere I can buy a receiver cover?  It's to keep away dust from my baby (Denon 1707).  What I do right now is put an old shirt on it after it has cooled down, to avoid getting any dust on it.  Thanks in advance :)

I think what he meant was some sort of a dust cover, not the unit's chassis cover.  ;D

A colleague I know just put an illustration board cut to the size of the amp's top when not in used.  Or any rubber/plastic mat of the right size will do after it has cooled down.

Maybe you could ask for a custom-made cover from your tailor.

Cotton cover may be nice so that excess heat may escape even when the AVR is already covered. Just my thought  ;D

Can you use plastic instead? Kasi kung plastic papsukan pa rin sya ng alikabok.

Tanong ko naman kung ano pwedeng ipanglinis sa receiver at sa speaker?

Hi Dyerds,

What I use is a simple 3M cloth that can be found in any DIY shop, I think I saw a small version of it in Ace Hardware.  It's nice because you don't have to wet it or apply any cleaning aid to it, It does not leave any streaks as well.  For those hard to reach places, I use a horse hair brush (this is quite similar to a paintbrush, but smaller) but the britsles  are a lot softer and are very effective in getting dust out.  Our Gurus and addicts may have better suggestions.

Hope this helps ;D
