I want to thank Benedict and his dad for repairing my subwoofer, which had a minor but irritating problem (slight popping at very low frequency). Good service at a reasonable price.  :)

Sir I have a defective Altec lansing speaker specifically the model ACS 45.1. At di ko rin ma-off using that controller.

Wala rin me nakitang mga bloated capacitors or mga blown up fuse and resistors.

How much kaya abutin?

Thanks.

Sir fredmontano,

Based sa sinulat mo at experienced namin sa Altec Lansing multi-media speaker specifically sa ACS 45.1 i recommend that you bring it to the country distributor.  Meron kaming tinaggap na ganyan, one is from my uncle and another from an officemate (na kakasauli ko lang sa kanya last week) both walang available sa market ng IC na sinsasabi mo or it's substitute.  Try searching for BanBros sa Google.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Benedict  ;)

I have BS speakers i want to revive... I'm not using it after I bought my FS...

Question: Does this affect the sound of the tweeter?

Follow-up question: Can I DIY repair it or need a help from tweeter repairman?

sir benedict, thanks for your reply. on my mind lang siguro na hindi max performance pag ganun looks ng tweeter.

baka di ko na i DIY if the performance/quality will not improve. lagi nalang na attach ang grills para di mapansin yung dent sa tweeter :)

ty uli sir!

if you play your speakers loud and sustained, if your amp clips most of the time, then your tweeter will have a shortened life...laging nauunang bumigay ang tweeter, nasusunog ang voice coil nya....so in this case, mr speaker doctor can repair them for you.....

there is this famous tweeter, the PT-6, which has replacement voice coils available at almost every electronics stores....proof that tweeters are prone to burn-outs.... ;D
That's OK, you can like or dislike anything you choose. That's the wonderful thing about the freedom

TIA. =)

And model nya ay Edifier M1310.

Tinignan ko yung loob, parang mahirap baklasin since may insulation plastic yung RCA input jack.

Need help, please.
Thanks!

Sir Kenny,

We can check your 301 to know the extent of the damage and to see what we can do to restore it.

thanks,

Benedict

Went to your address in Paco yesterday.  I thought it was a shop but was told it was just a drop off point.  Is that correct benny?  I did not drop off my speakers as wantyed to firt confirm this with you.  also tried to call you just a few minutes ago but you did not take the call.  I would like to drop off speakers today if possible for a full diagnostic and quote for repair.

Sir Kenny,

The address i indicated is a drop-off point.  Dad's shop is not easily accesible that's why i chose my house as drop-off point for customer's convenience. Sorry about not answering your call, i was consulting the doctor (medical doctor  :)) when you called.  Will let you know of the diagnosis and quotation for repair when dad get's hold of your speaker.

thanks,

Hi Mojo,

Just would like to get your opinion.  My 11yr old BW601 has developed white powdery marks on its rubber portion at the woofers edge and some at the center.  Is there a oil/cream i can use to wipe it off?

Thanks!

Hi Sir,

We have a pair of Time Windows speakers. Pinasok ng daga yung isang speaker and it made a mess of the padding inside the speakers. I'm not sure of the extent of the damage but would you guys be able to repair it? Also the foam cover needs to be replaced na rin. The speakers are almost 30yrs old, though

Hi Sir Tony,

Probably fungus or mold.  You can wipe it off using damp cloth.  Some chemicals might damage the rubber edge.  Try looking at hardwares located at the mall for anti-fungal/mold creams/oil.

Thanks,

Benedict

Thanks Benedict...actually the dirt or is it mold has already infected the speaker itself.  Can i apply the anti fungal creams as well on the speaker or will a damp cloth be safer?
