Generic gold banana plugs there are P50 a pair & the one with both connected by a plastic are P60.00 a pair.

these ones below could go as low as P12/ piece

Even the black and red type can be screw type. You can get them at any True Value or ACE Hardware electronics section. Unscrew the plastic cover (red or black) then you insert the wire into the rear of the plugs and it has two screw to lock the wires. No need to solder. There are similar plugs but no screw. You need to solder.

Hey, thanks for that clarification.  dumb question, I guess.

I used the solder type thing... looked better than the plastics (but costly)... takot ko lang... baka pangit talaga ang pagkasolder ko inspite of the fact that isang baldeng pawis ng ang binuhos ko.

hehehe...  good day to everyone!

Raon is the best place and much much cheaper.  Php 150 in park square, if I remember correctly, is under a hundred in Raon.  The shop is the near Rizal Ave. right side, can't remember the name.  Single banana plugs (gold, screw type) similar  to the one above is less than 50 bucks each. HTH

Sa gilid mo ipapasok yung wire tapos screw mo para maipit. Yung butas sa likod pede rin yatang pasakan ng banana. I've seen pics of amps using banana plugs as binding posts.

kt,

You mean the solder type ones? I read something about those too. I think oxidation will still take place. But  don't worry much about it. I think you'll count years before you hear any audible effects.

bro bee! yup i tink less oxidation for the solder typ. so lahat ng screw typ ba ganun lang sa gilid iniipit yung wires? so very much like the binding post sa speaker. wont the bare wires straight to the binding posts of the speaker give more contact than adding another connector(banana) na brass din?

Bare wire is best. I just use banana plugs because

1. I don't want bare wires touching the binding posts
2. neat-looking
3. convenient when unplugging

As I understand it, oxidation is a chemical process involving, obviously, oxygen. If we're able to prevent oxygen from touching the wires, we can prevent oxidation. If we solder at the tip, we can stop oxidation from there but, we have to make sure air tight yung connection between plug and the wire. Me sense ba ??? ;D

Yup. As I said, don't worry too much about oxidation. Baka nga 10 years na e buhay pa yang wires natin ;)

Pati yung hindi exposed. Oxidation is inevitable. But it can be slowed down. Coating is one way.

Most of the better (High-end) IC's & BananaClips or connectors in General are non magnetic?  Try to bring your powerful magnet in selecting any connectors.
Reason:
Non magnetic means less Corrosive.....means less oxidation in the long run ...better connection! Reliable!
