Topic: Worth buying ba and HK DV22?

Theres a sale at Paseo Center and im contemplating on buying the HK DV22.
Is it worth it or buy na lang ako ng ibang brand na bago?

It's one of the better performing brands out there.  How much is it on sale?

Its Php6,500 pag cash.
Php6,720 pag card.

That's already a bargain for that model.  If I recall right, the HK dvd players were priced around 10T when I saw them last year.

So i really can't make up my mind if i'll get it or other brand with the same price.

Got me there.  I can understand your dilmena.  I too would look for other brands in the same price range to see which would give me better value.  As I have not been in the market for DVD players for more than a year, I would hold back and check.  But from what I heard before, it's a great performing DVD player.

I hear the dac's not bad on the DV22 so if you're planning to listen to CD's and use the analog outputs, it would definitely be a bargain.

BUT, a pioneer or philips universal player can decode SACD's, and from what I've read so far SACD capable universal players are capable of going head to head with dedicated CD players twice their price.

So personally, unless my receiver is HK or will soon be, I won't go for this player.

Im using an HK 235 kaya medyo malakas ang hatak sa akin ng DV22.

But a universal player like pioneer can outperform my DV22.


Would I go for aestetics or performance...

Tapos pag punta ko out of stock na pala hindi kasi ako nakadaan ng Paseo center kaninang lunch.

I wasn't able to buy the DV22 nag-iisa lang pala iyon at display unit pa.
Gasgas na masyado ang casing and its not worth it sa ganong condition nya.
