Well, I assume that generation means mostly those of the high school days and early years of college. If that's the case, mine would be:

Bagets-the high school movie of the 80s
Zapped!-the very 1st R-rated movie I saw in betamax
Porky's
Revenge of the Nerds-Lambda, Lambda, Lambda
The Beastmaster
Blue Thunder
Return of the Jedi
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Back to the Future
Breakin'-Turbo & Ozone inspired most of my class to breakdance to the extent of headspinning on the teacher's table
Re-animator
Terminator
Top Gun
Aliens

The John Hughes movies (Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller etc.)
and a few more movies in the era that were already mentioned by the others
