Lost Horizon, the cheesy 1973 version with music by Burt Bacharach. I'm positive this has aged badly and will be atrocious. It won't be the magical film I remember it to be as a young kid... so I plan to watch it after a drink. Several drinks. ;D

Too bad it's still stuck in litigation hell.

The world is a circle without a beginning and nobody knows where it really ends... la la la...  ;D

=====

My most awaited was Oro Plata Mata. Now that it's out, I'm not sure what I'm waiting for anymore. Time to start watching instead of buying, maybe...  ;D

We've actually been looking out for this one too. We still have an LD of this but most of our LD players don't work anymore. From what I remember the LD was pretty good, released by Pioneer and if they do a restoration, then we'd probably get a good DVD out of it. It's cheesiness was one of the attractions, but then again, so was Olivia Hussey.       (quietly rushes out to get "Romeo and Juliet")

I'm still waiting for "The April Fools" - it was only released on VHS, never made it to LD. This is where we all fell in love with Catherine Deneuve.

There must be a demand for it, VHS on Amazon are selling for US$27 - 175!

I would buy an LD player just for this!

...umm... if I do, can we attempt our own restoration? ;D

We're presently locating the Lost Horizon LD and a working LD player, so no need to acquire one just yet. Keep your fingers crossed, but you're on.

Will let you know as soon as we locate it and arrange to get it to you.

Maybe time to stock up on Doritos (Extra Cheesy) and Tequila.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK

The final showdown in New York City vs Abomination is one, uberkool nasty fight scene!  This should look and sound good in HD!!

Will these films see the light of DVDs?

Does anyone know this 1987 movie? AN engrossing low-budget horror flick. This movie managed to let me lose my appetite back then.

Watched this many times back when TCM was TNT in cable. Stars Amy Irving as a mute ballet dancer and Michael Ontkean as a struggling singer who met and fall in love. What else? I Will Always Wait For You by Burton Cummings were used as its theme.

Amy Irving again. This time, she competes with Richard Dreyfuss in a classical piano competition who fell in love during the course of the competition. Its theme: People Alone by Randy Crawford.

Although a disappointing sequel to the Death Note movies, I'm disappointed this didn't get an LE treatment  :(

The Koreans will have a 3-disc release.. the early released specs contain some of those in the Japanese 3-disc release.. but seeing as it's Korean, no subs on the extras..madmad puts it as a July 11th release.. no word about the packaging yet, though..

Thanks sir. Actually saw the Japan set, hence the pic, but didn't consider it cause of their price  ;D  But didn't see that Korean set in YesAsia. Another 3-disc set without subs on the speacial feats? Gotta think  ::)

...but this subs issue didn't really matter before though  :P
