wow! mukhang magandang upgrade ito for the BabyG :D

yes Doc dami kasi request niyan ;D but service will be available next year na siguro, nakapila pa yun mga orders for units with the new tone controls.

Quote
when you say "tone controls", eto po ba yung may bass and treble knobs po, tulad ng mga vintage receivers/amplifiers?

yes Doc, as of now +/-10db range adjustment ng bass and treble. ok na yan kaysa +/-15db para di abuse yun settings. most who ordered will use it for office, dorm, condo setups with digital sources like iPod and other DAPs.

Quote
also, pwede po ba lagyan ng tone control ang babyG power amplifier, or para lang ito sa integrated amplifier?

thanks!

pwede naman Doc, but like I said unahin ko muna yun mga nag order ng new integrated units ha...  ;)

Thanks neybor! ;)

late posting but still relevant... successful trials for the new preamp stage of the Baby G integrated amp, satisfactorily tested with multitude of sources...

rolled some opamps to find which ones sounds best. one thing is for sure, there are bad sounding opamps...  :(

reader note: subjective information... primarily based on my ears. have a nice weekend!

got some 20 degree titanium bits! 8) 8) 8) (post office still works ;D ;D ;D)

this is a USB breakout board I will use in a project, obviously I made a mistake in the step size, I should make it smaller due to the fine point of the bit. but that route sure looks promising for some future smd projects! 8)

what size yang bits mo brader? saan mo inorder, and most importantly, may kapatid ba yan na pwede mo palayasin? ;D

Pwede yan for intricate carving... No use yet but when the time comes I will definitely be looking for good bits. Delayed yung cnc parts ko. Eta now is Jan20 na, nagkadelay delay yung parts from the supplier eh. Asar nga at di umabot sa pasko.

Oo nga, pcb milling is intricate enough to warrant these bits. Kung wood and fiber boards lang brader sobrang tatagal na nito but for metals it will depend on the way you lubricate the cutter as it is being milled.

Nice yan pang very fine traces. Ok din pang checkering ng gun grip. Pero matinding plotting in 3D yun he he.

these two bits are the most used by Abacus Robot for pcb duties... two-flute straight-bit (left) and 20-degree titanium v-cutter...

So yung work sheet mo is plotted 3 dimensionally sa pc? Astig.

Mismo. The bit probes the surface and computes/compensates for anomalies/unevenness.

Yun spindle and bit isolates sa buong CNC, then ginamit ko isang input sa parallel port for the probe. Yun pcb clamp ko naka ground so when the probe touches the surface of the pcb magiging logic 0 yun input sa parallel port so alam na niya yun ang surface. Simple lang no? Madali sabihin, medyo mahirap gawin hahaha!

Galing. If the object were non metallic, can you manually encode logic zero when the probe is in the correct position?

Thanks.

if the machine uses Mach3 for the machine software, it becomes simple to zero the bits... http://youtu.be/GCtYIT86WOU

Nice. So it just needs that circuit closed to mark zero. I guess pwede din manual switch. Eyeball nga lang ang precision.

Yup, some will place a piece of paper between the bit and the top and adjust until it just catches the paper.
Yung sa mach3 (auto zero) the touch plate can be set sa software, so kung half inch thick yung toich plate pwede iconfigure sa mach3.

Yun setup ko brader kay Abacus Robot autolevel na and it probes every 3/8 inch (as you can see in the video) but I can actually dictate how "fine" the probing is done like every 1/4 inch but for a big pcb this means probing can take a long time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWdAPvUlmhk&list=UUAsbyjghSrgIgzMZC6-iT1A

Yun alligator clip na wire yun papunta sa input ng parallel port that tells the software when the tip of the bit touches the top of the blank board. This way hindi ako worried kahit hindi 100% level ang platform ko and kahit warped na yun blank pcb.
