mukhang totoo ba yang 1543? ayuz yan kung ganun! ;D tent clock na lng kelangan ko at nakakita na ko ng CS8412! ;D

Thanks man.  ;D

I just went there as per Tony's request, the 1543 looks good but the 1541A is a bit questionable, unlike the ones we see on the net, the stampings are a bit odd and the Philips logo is missing, the 1543 however has the logo.

I guess it's just up to Tony and Andy to decide. Btw, wasn't able to get the prices since their computers were already shutdown when I came in.

yes Andoy, 1543 looks good. Anyway kung gagamitan mo naman ng socket may options ka to replace it at a latter date.

dagdagan mo na yun 8412 na order mo.  ;)

my dog trying to help me quickly make two pairs of speaker wires from cat5e cable to connect:

to my AR S40. I have been patiently waiting for this day, unfortunately, I forgot to make my speaker wires!!!!  >:(

I cannot believe the sound from these 2K amps!!!! Of course, after Jojo did his magic on them plus the superbly crafted pre-amp.

Since I have not finished my Fostex FE127E sealed bipole project, I temporarily connected the t-amps to my Acoustic Research Status 40 (bi-amped). First impression, who said that these t-amps lack bass. It has good tight bass.

I then decided to use my subwoofer. After firing up the subwoofer, (the level still dialed for my Denon) I have to lower the level down to about 9 o'clock setting, adjust the phase and crossover, and it blended well with the t-amps with the AR speakers.

These amps are incredible, sounds better than my Onkyo and my Denon and my brother's Yamaha. The vocals sounded so real, that if you close your eyes and extend your arm, you have the impression that you will be able to touch the face of the singer.

Gives new meaning to the word audiophile.

The only downside, it is so unforgiving that poorly mastered CD's sound really crappy (Sitti's CD which is quite tolerable on my Denon, on this amp is unbearable!). But on good CD's it sound great.

Anyway, on to my listening... and breaking in the t-amp and the pre-amp. Let me enjoy this creation!

THANKS A LOT MASTER JOJO!

hi jojo,

how's the chassis coming along? barakong barako na siguro yung itsura nito pagkatapos :)

hi,

it's going great, a bit of finger busting pain though.  ;D it's not finished yet but it's in the works.

Sent you an email, I hope you can see the pics.

yup, saw the pics :) so it looks like we're going for a frame with panels, the sinks being the side panels?

looking very solid and sturdy, cant wait to see the finished product.

ngayon lang dumating yung inorder kong Pana FM caps, hehe. 220uf nga lang, la pa yung 1000uf.  what are those caps for anyway? are they some sort of filter?

yes, the sinks are going to be used also as side panels.  8)

framework is solid and sturdy. we even accidentally did a drop test of about 4 feet - no one was hurt. the frame alone weighs ~5Kilos (without top, bottom, side panels). a gorilla or a weight lifter will surely have a great time moving this amp for you.  ;D  ;D

those 220uf caps were used for ps decoupling because the reference leg of the + and - ccs sides have lifted grounds. the 1000uf is used to filter  the voltage divider for the bias control making it stable. I'm sure the FC series that we have should be more than enough.  ;)

jojo,

by the way, were you able to get a reading on the DC offset? if its low enough i m thinking of even driving conventional phones with this monster :)

one channel has 0.01V, the other one has 0.08V (target is below 0.05V). The fets were matched
near rated current, it's just probably the power resistors drifting in value, but don't worry, I haven't done any tinkering yet - just the bias adjustments.

wow, nice!  :o i didnt expect it to look so... clean :)

bubutasan ba yung top for air circulation?

That could come later, haven't decided yet. But since the torroid should not be producing that much heat, and the sinks are already on the sides, I honestly can't decide.

What do you think?
