Hi Jon and Macdon,
Here's the connection diagram for the Tube Preamp Audio/HT setup...

1. When Tube Preamp is powered OFF, front channels is effectively connected between HT Processor and Multi-Channel Power Amp, hence, setup is in HT Mode.
2. When Tube Preamp is powered ON, HT Processor front channels are completely cut-off and you are now in Audio Mode. Line level inputs (Line 1-3) are now accessible and can be switched via Tube Preamp's Input Selector and gain is controlled via Tube Preamp's Volume Control. Only the Front Channels will be in Audio Mode.
Notes:
Every time the Tube Preamp is powered ON, Power LED (blue power indicator on tube preamp) will blink for approximately 35~40 seconds to allow the tubes to warm up. During this condition the Tube Preamp is muted and the Bypass Input is already cut-off.
The Tube Preamp (in Audio Mode) is ready once Power LED lights steadily.
To go back to HT Mode, simply power OFF the Tube Preamp and you'll automatically be in HT Mode (absolutely no need to interchange any interconnects).
