From laptop, you wrote tube before amp. Could you clarify it? Tube as in tube preamp or tube buffer. Yun amp naman, integrateed amp ba or power amp?

Sir medjo threadjacking na tayo.  You might want to create your own topic para madami din makabasa so the experts here could chime in.

You only need a usb dac if you plan on using the digital output of your laptop and not the analog.

I agree, and there's a USB DAC being sold by sir tammy, the 707 DAC which is imo bang for buck.

laki ng iginanda ng st70... and the "trademark" SQ of st70 is still there
laki ng naidulot ng rewiring, resoldering, 7kilo ptx ni sir edrel, keeping the orig taps.

thanks father jim, the power transformer can be likened to a water reservoir where at the point of extremes, the dam still should be able to deliver and provide ample water supply to each and every household.(sounds familiar, isn't it?) ang problema pag yung power transformer was designed just for normal conditions, patay na pagdating ng extra need..kapos ang cymbals or bass...
