I got mine sa isang shop sa GH before $1 (Php40). Nagsisi nga ako hindi ko pa dinagdagan...

Jo iniwan ko na nga sa gitna ng buendia ave yun casing ni koya kaso biglang nag txt bebenta pa raw niya parts para maka recover sa gastos, Buti na lang di pa nasasagasaan . 

Naka flea power na mobo na yan (single core atom) minimalist setup kaya swabe na pag surf sa net.   

Pinangkalso mo na lang sana sa delivery truck eh hahaha  Pero meron pa din yun siguro kahit kaunting value 

Panay kasi ang laro ng COD kaya nasira yun pc...

as of this moment, I have an old Luxman R113 integrated receiver with sources from China made DVD as CDP and Rega TT.  Was planning to get an outboard DAC next year and hopefully upgrade to a SS power Amp.  Upgrade all audio items starting next year. yun lang baka 1 gear per year ang mangyari.

getting a separate DAC is a good plan indeed, making your china made as transport only. I guess you should get the DAC first as you still have a working Luxman in there. that way in about 5 years time you should have a complete setup from transport to DAC to tube preamp to ss power amp and even down to your speakers.

That's my initial plan.  get a DAC with multiple input.  DVD as transport and PC via USB.  at the same time maybe can start implementing the tube pre amp since I can switch the Luxman to work as power amp lang.  yun speakers pinakahuli sa Santa's list.  So this early pa lang want to get all info I can gather so I can narrow down all equipments.

In that case you should first see the SuperPro 707 DAC, it has those digital inputs that you need and more. Just saw your PM to me, sorry slipped by my poor eyes. Will PM back in a while sir.

Does your Luxman amp have a "main in" connection where an external preamp can be connected.  What I understand is that our Luxman intergrated amp only has a pre-out connection where you can use an external power amp.

My Luxman has a switch in the back and I think it has a pre out and amp in.  Haven't really paid much attention.  Superpro is one on the candidate for the DAC but am aiming for CA Dacmagic if it becomes available locally.

which receiver would I use to build my temp audio system?  Just found out that we still have the old Pioneer SX-1500TD receiver and I think will need some minor repair and calibration. Pioneer o Luxman?  eventually one of them will be relegated to office duties pag naayos na system ko.

I guess the best sounding one, if the Luxman is good then why not go with it? First things first, use what you have now then work your way up.

I would also go for the Luxman.  The provision for the power amp in needs to be verified from the Luxman receiver.  If there is none, then the power amp can be prioritized over the preamp.  Normally, Luxmans have good preamp and as well as phono preamps.  And with the Luxman utilized as a preamp/phono preamp plus and a new external poweramp you will already have the flexibility of using a lot of audio sources.

Hope this can help in the decision making.

I guess the best sounding one, if the Luxman is good then why not go with it? First things first, use what you have now then work your way up.
