yes of course Brader, the t-amp handles the mid-highs while the Baby G is assigned for the lows. gives a whole new meaning to my Christmas Carols collection...  ;D

Need to scratch the itch so I tried HDMI connection for the first time hahaha!  :-[






Used my LG 22" PC Monitor for testing as I don't have an LCD yet (via HDMI to DVI adapter)...

It was an educational and satisfying experience...

2011 will probably be known as the year of the HT!!! ;D ;D ;D

slowly but surely, I am fixing up our wreck room to serve as our house office and my audio room. I have gained ground already and improved the sq (besides ng linis ng tenga) that I am very pleased already.
first was getting 1 sq. meter which is small, but huge on my part since it gave my speakers better spacing. Then while waiting for the diffusers I have made, we got drapes, wow this did help a lot. Now I am in the middle of our desk build for this room which should gain me another 4sq mtr (more or less). afterwhich a rug is in the budget already, just looking for the right size and a color that we both like...
is there anything else that could help me that I have missed?

as far as reflections are concerned I think you have nailed it already. the drapes may have helped but I think the diffusers will help even more for improved focusing. this should improve your system in the depth and layering department.

hehehe, no problem Brader.

the standard human ear is a very high tech device which can detect early and delayed reflections for up to 100ms. diffusers are say like the louvers in your aircon, the air is directed by focusing the louvers. by using diffusers, you are in fact focusing the sound waves coming from your speakers and their convergence (sweet spot) is where all the magic begins but we will get back to that in a bit. drapes behind the speakers absorbs the rear deflections while a heavy rug or carpeting would ensure that the floor wouldn't bounce back early or delayed reflections. this would make the sound somewhat from the ear level going up. now if you have these acoustic elements in place, your ears would be acoustically focused on your speakers with the help from your diffusers. you will experience virtual depth and layering as if the artists are right in front of you. backgrounds are blacker, quieter, and decay is improved. any intended acoustically delayed sounds are prominent. making hall sounds truly like coming from a hall but is in fact inside your wreck room.

hence, you are preparing yourself to be "enveloped" by the music as the acoustic engineer had envisioned when the recording was first down mixed.

gusto ko yan, mag review akong mabuti, tahimik ang lugar, malamig ang simoy ng hangin, maganda ang tanawin

para pag nag wentuhan tayo eh malinaw ang pag iisip,

yung mag kakahoy yaan na nating makipag ulayaw kay dyna habang inaantay si hart at si beth

yung mag kakable ewan ko kung ano plano, baka mag kakalas ng xmas layts para may mahinang ulit next year ;D ;D ;D ;D

sardinas brader, sardinas sa umaga, tanghali at gabi. siguradong mabilis talaga makukuha si hart at beth. ;)
