Many thanks to all who have come to our humble abode and who have taken their time to travel from north to south. It's just a must to feed you guys with good graces
.
My apologies to others whom we have not invited as the music room has limited space. Anyway, you may be next and are welcome to visit us.
Most of our time was spent listening to music and also learning how different gears/speakers affect the sound. Also, do not forget the room which is one thing we learned has a big influence on the sound output. Its fun listening to different music sources --- CD, digital..... too bad we did not have enough time to tryout track versions from vinyl and bluray.
But what's most enjoyable is simply us having fun with stories, jokes, anecdotes... anything under the sun in between meals and the listening sessions.
Thanks to timber715 for bringing his Harbeth (with stands ha!) all the way from Manila and allowing it to be heard with my gears. Luckily I was able to control the "lingering" sonic character of this wonderful speaker, otherwise, ----SARS!!!!
Nice to see your better half also enjoying our crazy hobby
Thanks to Cal for bringing a caldero with a sumptuous stew along with his test CDs. It always never failed to Wow us with your track selections plus your favorite Cal Tjader music.
Thanks to Jojo for bringing the beautifully built F5 which I believe SET lovers will find this Nelson Pass creation a component to own. Thanks also for having patience in the short lectures you shared in between tracks and in between vape sessions and in between meals
.... more photos please... BTW, the rootbeer float will always be in the menu for you, unless you say otherwise.
Thanks to anchit and baltoro for having an open mind during our audio discussions and hope it can guide you to your own audio journey.
We missed the presence of Fr. Jim, Tirso and Sonnysin ....... it won't be as fun when we are complete.... Next time, hope to see you all.
After the session..... it seems I still need to work on the room treatment (konti na lang siguro). And for my gears, SARS can be set aside for the moment. The gainclone/aikido-LS combo was great and did not fail me this time .... sensitive or not, it sings great!
'Til next time......
