Hi Gino,

Milling is way better than etching. No undercuts, no flashouts, etc. Precision at it's finest. It is also chemical free so I don't get my hands and everything around the lab dirty. I also get the bonus of using the ratsnest as a ground plane.

And most of all it is a fully automated CAD/CAM setup. I design whatever I want on my laptop, generate and send the g-codes to my cnc pc and just feed it with a blank pcb to mill and it does everything, even the drilling.

Thickness and milling depth is bit dependent, a little trigonometry computation and I can calculate the optimum mill depth based on the pcb copper weight and the optimal angle of bit to be used. Thankfully, Abacus Robot (that's the name of my machine) can now chew even the toughest FR4 glass passivated boards I can find.

Yeah, after a lot of practice and broken bits I think I have it nailed already. Although it started with junk parts and surplus motors and drivers, I have already upgraded it with the finest Gecko drivers and stepper motors I can afford and optimized the setup for my pcb fabrication needs.

I know the feeling. I had my share building chassis for my rc cars back in the day. My best friend was the jigsaw and the Dremel. Aluminum was relatively hard. Fiberglass was itchy. CF was sharp. I couldn't win. My cars disappeared kakakatay. If I ledt them stock I would still have them all.

Ot lang sandali, I loved racing 1/10 gas trucks. You have to race to enjoy it. The technology was with the tires.

I built boats but being on a solo run, I got over it quickly. I flew electric 450 class rc helicopters. Now that was an adrenaline rush. Nothing like a near crash to get you going. 4-5 min per flight that seemed like an eternity. But it was costly. I used my forum activity and review skills to get me a sponsorship from KY Model. Free parts. After 3 years the thrill got old.

Now I am back with audio. I am waiting for my commissioned 2a3. Studying my speaker options. I will try it out with my Fostex BS60 and Mirage Prestige 8" sub for starters. From there I'll see what I am missing.

Wow, you went through it all already! I want the rc trucks but maybe a lot later as I have another hobby running already.

I almost went to rc heli also but after trying my brother in law's heli I think it's not for me yet. ;D

2A3 is best with full ranger speakers, I have a set of Mark Audio full range speakers here waiting for the time I when I can get them a box.

I see. My Fostex FE167E drivers have a few box options. When I first auditioned them with the wiredstate fellows, they were on an ML TL box. Lovely sound with the Tubong Bastos 2a3 amp. I had other amps then so the 2a3 had to wait. I've seen full Voights, ML TL, folded horn, and bass reflex box designs.

Looks like an end piece for input/output rcas, a power outlet, and a switch. This looks like a preamp build.

Fostex drivers has some very fascinating results in the full ranger community. They even power it up with flea watt class D amps, especially those in the folded horn designs.

It is indeed.

It is, as it is a line preamp. Unless it's a phonostage. ;D Siya yun back panel. ;)

Ah... that's a privilege, not a standard. More of a request than an order kind of thing. ;D

Sir sorry but for the meantime it's internal use only of JD Labs Projects. May mga deadlines po kasi eh isa lang machine ko sorry. Who knows maybe in the future I can offer quick one offs for your pcb needs. :)
