jambam, what's the brand/model of your Sabre dac (ala ODAC)? Have you compared it with the ODAC?

That was my ultimate plan, but RS is giving me a hard time to acquire the Model B and asks me to wait until April. I've read that power is the only quirk the RP has and so I intend to supply the cleanest I possibly can when I get hold of one. :)

I have the 2 by Hifidiy , one is self powered , while the other one has an isolated power section where you need to supply power separately....sorry  I have not compare it with the odac.

Yup but for me I was thinking of isolating the power section of the pogoplug , now that I think I got the software where I want it ,  Its like haveing a Sotm sms-100 ... As the Sms-100 is really a pogoplug with a separated psu section .plus audio centric software

For sure jambam....... Kuha na

Ikaw na muna , have jojo isolate the power supply of your pogoplug and use his linear one, and you will have a SMS-100 na .  .. you do know the Sotm psu all alone is 1kusd option while the repackaged sotm is another 400usd ...I will update your software right after and you will have a real bang for the buck system at a small fraction versus the sotm

Heres a review using the high end psu

As of now my Pogo plug is connected wrt power supply as follows:

Wall mains --> Pogoplug  --> USB clable --> iFi iUSB --> Dual head iFi USB cable --> Data -------------------->   DAC
                                                                                                                        --> iUSB USB Power -->

Essentially the Pogoplug power does not go into the external DAC as the iFi iUSB supply its own clean power to the DAC.

Do you mean that I modify the PSU of the Pogoplug  into a linear one?

On a lighter note, I need a large DC motor, a pulley and a hook... ang hirap kaya magbanlaw ng pantalon ang bigat!

Yun barrel will be the clothes on a hook and instead of me pulling down on the rope, a large motor winds the thing back and forth.

Sa tingin niyo mababanlawan yun mga damit nun? ;D

yup just like the sotm sms-100  , ( 5V @ 2A amps)

 in one audiophile site they also recommend to make the router psu to be linear . to further clean up the sound ,  or we can just make it wireless

 and they say it sounds better because it does not have a video display ckt.

Walang mechanical advantage ang single pulley. it's just a change in direction of force applied. That of course was not your point. Just a consideration if you pursue the project.
