Yun bubong talagang nag cave in. Yun mga workers na magpuputol galing sa City Engineer's office required ang DENR permit.

Ako kasi ang nag picture picture kasama sa requirements na i-pass nila sa DENR. ;D

wala naman ni-require na permit, siguro dahil nasa loob ng village & malayo sa city roads, even the road leading to our village is privately owned by mr villar  :P

Gusto mo brader manghingi ako retaso for knobs?madaming small pieces nakakalat  ;)

Nagkuha pa kayo ng permit sa DENR brader? When a huge and old Acacia tree fell last Glenda here we have to get a permit pa from Glenda. Nakakatawa nga, cleanup na lang kasi natumba na yun puno and still it requires a permit. ;D

Maganda kaya gawin knobs yan brader? >:D

Musical Fidelity X-24K DAC yan brader. Supposed to be palit lang ng psu since it was misplaced. Buti na lang naisipan ko buksan bago ko power up. Aside from that blown cap, there is a cap where only the legs are still soldered and the body of the cap is missing. Also found several tantalum caps that are dead short.

What started as a simple psu replacement ended up as a major think tank! ;D

Restoring a classic... Musical Fidelity X-24K DAC

Owner lost the power supply, good thing it was sent to me so I can check the connector size. What started as a routine psu replacement turned into a messy repair work.

From the looks of it this DAC had it's fair share of playtime... let's see if we can clean up that face...

This was one of many blown caps, one cap only had legs soldered on the board, the body completely disintegrated!

Time for some spa after reflowing the board...

There... nice shiny tube...

After some great deal of challenges, this DAC is running like a champ again, back to it's original glory... clean and fresh face again... nag Pond's kasi...  ;D ;D ;D

Length is 74in, width is 24in & Thickness is 2.75in, dapat nga mas makapal pa yan kaso ang ginamit pangputol chain saw & medyo hindi pantay pantay kaya nakailang pasada pa ko ng planer   :o

It's not wide enough for a proper dining table so buffet table na lang daw sabi ni misis, alam nyo naman mga wife laging may paraan  ::) :P

Thanks mga brader.

Magaling yan si brader deist eh, he could have made a rack but instead let the queen of the house get her way with the slab... so whatever next system purchase he has in mind already has a positive WAF. ;)

Btw, don't forget we still have a buffet este visit pala at Nizmo's place... para kasing fiesta lagi pag napapasyal tayo sa kanya eh... ;D

Jen, I used Meguiar's clay to clean and deep crystal carnauba wax to polish.

Actually I try to follow their 5 step process. Though pretty expensive stuff, they do work as advertised.

Honestly, I learned this process from JSK Custom Paints and Autoshop. ;D

I got to try and practice on old car door panels so practice does seem to make perfect. :)
