Commercially bought Pine especially taken or recycled from pallets has lots of chemicals and insecticides. Pine is notorious for termite infestation without those chemicals. And those chemicals are highly reactive to peoples skin that countries like Australia requires their contractors and carpenters to be in full body suit to prevent them from contacting their skin. Unless you know the pine you are using was cut and harvested without chemicals, I suggest you avoid them when you can.....
