yep, inline passive :) best transparency daw since you have no cables to drive. sabi sa yo maghahanap ako ng magandang project :)

Btw, those shrinkable plastics look a lot like those being used at water refilling stations to seal those 5 gallon water jugs. Don't they?  ;D

EDIT: The CT2 is stereo right? I would need the stereo if we will go balanced (xlr input).

pre, for repair siya. only one channel is working eh, but the remaining channel that works sounds good. my specimen already uses Pana FC, metal film resistors, Burr-Brown chips, polystyrene Miller compensation caps. I guess for it's retail price, this is normally expected.  ;D

for those technically inclined souls, the RA-02 only runs the opt devices at 18mA! No wonder the heatsinks can be kept small.  ::) I admire those torroids too.

a STAC 500W servo-type voltage regulator rescued from the junkyard...



only cost was for me to try and repair it, if it works - it's mine. If not, I should return it to the junkyard for recycling...





dismantled from it's case reveals a lot...



you're busted! the vr that set's the voltage reference for the servo motor controller was the culprit...



carbon brush still looks good...



good thing there is a screw that holds the carbon brush in place so I can replace it with a fresh one...



some metal work and paint is in order here...

BTW, jojod, how did u do that wrinkled black paint?i remember, long time ago I used a cannister wrinkled paint branded VHT for some car spare parts...di ko na makita ulit...is it still available? where and the brand u used  pls... :)

It was powder coated together with a batch of my chassis. But you can buy those wrinle paint in most auto paint shops, a shop along Mindanao Ave sells it by the pint for less than 200 pesos. They also have those VHT spray cans if you don't have an air brush.
