This is my V1 MOSfet amp test bed...

This amp works great! Lows are well within control and the mids are up front but not in your face. The highs are acceptable but it surely can be made even better. I'll let it run for a few more days and check stability. I already burned a pair of IRF output MOSfets and 2 emitter resistors in the effort to find this amp's limits (it's not the amp's fault - it was my fault), but power is more than enough for headroom.

LE Amps did a great job in the design of this amp. Even with the use of general purpose transistor compliments (to make it readily available), the amp sounds great. I'm sure a lot of solid state amps out there will have a hard time keeping up with this one. As I am still running the amp at sir Benny's recommended current of 40mA, I plan to increase it to 60mA or perhaps 100mA as high as my heat sinks can go.

I plan to modify and exploit the MOSfets gate's capacitance to really make it as close as possible to sound like tubes. Other mods like carefully chosen, high ft and matched differential and current mirror transistors will be next on the list. I guess a small JD Labs mod to an LE Amp wouldn't hurt.

the beyma i heard is a 15" coax in a karlson box if i'm not mistaken. medyo ayaw pa ni lin gomez ng bass output kasi parang me hump daw siya naririnig because of the design of the opening. sa akin nga ok na tunog pero kuya lin will do some more tweaking. di ko pa nakumusta uli medyo nagbusy.

because of the sensitivity of the beyma and the box design, my 2a3 effortlessly drives it. 105 db yata yun. alam mo naman yung room ni lin sa store ang laki ng area. maganda i-experiment ung coax driver na yun kaya lang way outside my budget. kumpleto ang highs and lows. point source pa.

we tested the amp also with the big jbl horn speakers on display na napakinggan natin - the ones with three drivers. kayang kaya rin ng 2a3 idrive. if you will use this set of speakers at home i dont think kailangan mo ng high-wattage amp.

those are my ic and speaker cables that i patiently wrapped with teflon( the one being used by plumbers)
why?

to keep them away from dust and dirts

bro, non-Audio project kaya ayaw ko i-discuss/post dito kaya lang ayaw maniwala ni macdon na busy ako hehehe...

that's the 3rd revision and will soon be released pag nakapag decide na on how to case it, ang bilis kasi masira nun mga naka smps balancer/charger so this is our answer to that problem...

Btw, I will meet with my friend at LBC and we will discuss the "how to" on sending audio gears abroad on the 14th of this month...
