Pics taken by Hans last night of the pre-amp.

Dual cased Tamp w/ PSU at the background.
Both used the same casing so the two (pre-amp and amp) can be placed on top of each other.
Pre amp patterned after (expensive) Sun Audio circuitry

Tubes are encased so it wont be accidentally touched by kids. Custom blue lights for EFX, and night light too, hehe

sino ba naman ang ayaw ng high end gears, kung meron din naman akong malaking pang virus na katulad ni sir Matz, eh di kaya rin namin bumili ng gears na katulad ng pang virus ni sir matz na will enjoy for a long time, hehehe! kaso pang yamaha dai-ichi combo lang ako eh. poor mans gear... hindi kasi ganun ka luwag yung financial capabilities ko, meron din mas mahalaga ng dapat puntahan yung money. like one member said, aanohin mo ang "home theater" kung wala ka pang "home" hehehe!

We only use this setup for DVD featurettes, mini series, P**ted DVDs and some concerts w/c is only 10% of the time.
Mostly its our 1 yr old son who watches barney and other educational DVDs here, 90% of the time .

CHEAPO Begginner tube audio setup:
Speakers: Mission M72
Stand: Sabre Praetor 60cm.
Pre amp: JD Lab tube pre amp (w/ auricaps) with passive function, so I can use the power amps for DVD watching while tube pre amp is OFF.
Amp: dual Sonic Impact T-amp for bi-amping, with custom case (and dual PSU) made by master JojoD
Wires: Ecosse 2.3 and leftover Ixos 6006 11awg from main HT
IC's: IXOS 103
CDP: Sony
Others: Quantum Banana Plugs, 3M dome sticker for speaker to stand "merging"

Identical casing, so the pre amp and amp can be put on top of each other.
T-amp casing w/ 1 light= 1 T-amp active, 2 lights=2 T-amps active (for bi-amping)

Tubes encased for child-friendliness. Blue lights for efex

This setup is great for watching concert DVDs in DTS!

HK, Velo, Mission pang mid lang hanef!. I too indeed a very practical person, never the less choosing dai-ichi products will accompany me for a long time. as warranties goes too...

anyways nice set up bro your really one of the icons here in Pdvd. like ones said "one of the most higly acclaimed setup".... congrats...

Sure bro, ayus yang casing ko pag gabi (I play music w/ the T-amp all night while sleeping), nakaka enlight talaga sa daan ko pag papunta ako ng CR pag madaling araw!

Yung door sa pic is the CR. Its what limits me from placing the speakers far from each other. Also, the bedroom door is at the rightmost part (not seen in the pic) and would hit the speakers if I placed the two apart. Maximum nagagawa ko eh nakaharang yung speaker sa gitna ng CR door.

Minsan nabubunggo ko yung speakers pag galing sa CR ng madaling araw sa sobrang antok, hehe.
