I wasnt able to update my bedroom setup details. Been lazy, hehe.
I used an entry level Onkyo 494 followed by a Denon 1705 (75wpc).
Just this end of Dec. 2007, I changed to a Bada integrated 5 channel power amp (no decoder) connected via 5.1 analog out from my Pioneer DV-600 (decoding via DVDp). It was only around 5x60w but it really filled up my room with undistorted sound. The difference was sooo far, it actually didnt even take me 10 mins to decide to sell my 75wpc Denon.
So I am not using a receiver anymore, but a power amp with volume control. Its not bad, really, I thought DVD player decoders suck, di naman pala w/ the DV-600. I am immensely enjoying DVDa and SS pop music at my room now! Concerts are great too.
Let me update my bedroom setup:
Hitachi 32LD380 LCD TV
Pioneer DV-600 DVD player
Bada integrated 5 channel amp. (5x100w @ 4ohms) w/ Karaoke function (gee...)
CDrKing HDMI cable
IXOS gamma 103 interconnects (5 pcs)
JBL SCS 200.5 speaker system
Generic 12 ga cables
Sabre Crescendus leftovers from the main HT room.
New additions:
Sabre arm mount adaptor, attachable to the wall bracket:
Been having difficulty everytime I wanted to change cables or connect my headphone when my kid is sleeping. So I added the arm bracket to ease my difficulty.
I could also swivel it to face the dressing room (diagonal to the TV) or just pull the TV nearer the bed if I go HTPC mode in the future.
