Here are pics of the booklet:

I'll post more images when I get the chance, nag-eeror sa akin yung imageshack e. Its kinda like a movie storybook, complete with the lyrics of the songs from the film.

Thanks in advance!

I just saw 1 about an hour ago but it's in Landmark. Don't know if they still have some stocks hidden. Sa Astro Glorietta minsan meron, minsan wala. Depende yata kung may fresh deliveries. :)

Yes sir. I was talking about the DE with the magnets. When I went  to Astro Glorietta last Friday evening, naubos na raw but when I returned last Sunday, meron na ulit. Kadedeliver lang yata ng fresh stocks last Saturday just like what they told me Friday evening. Sa Landmark meron na display niyong may magnets since last Friday kaya lang suki kasi ako ng Astro Glorietta. Baka marami pa roon. :)

Actually mas marami silang DE na walang magnet at the same price.

Got the CE but it's not in DDEX 6.1.  Not that it really matters, just thought baka iba ung sa DE? That's why I'm getting the DE aso for the packaging. ???

Even the R1 as reviewed in DVDTown and DVDFile is not DD 6.1EX.

Got only the R3 DE at Astro Megamall and as previously posted, I have a 6.1 speaker set-up and  my Marantz SR4500 receiver automatically decodes the soundtrack as DD EX, with all 6.1 speaker icons lit up :)

My Denon registers Dolby Digital EX for nearly everything that I play these days. There's a reason for this which I posted in another thread but can't find right now. Anyway, to quote the Dolby site again:

Feature films originally released in Dolby Digital Surround EX (the cinema version) carry the encoded extra surround channel in their subsequent DVD releases, as well as onto 5.1-channel digital satellite and TV broadcasts. If your home theater system has a receiver or preamp/processor with Dolby Digital EX decoding and speakers to support 6.1 or 7.1 playback, you can hear Surround EX soundtracks as they were meant to be heard, with the increased realism created by the extra surround channel. As in the cinema, with regular 5.1-channel Dolby Digital playback no sonic information is lost (although you'll miss out on the heightened realism).

Current Dolby Digital Surround EX soundtracks contain a digital flag that can automatically activate the EX decoding in a receiver or preamp/processor. For titles released prior to late 2001, however, you need to turn on the EX decoding manually.

Basically, EX decoding doesn't work on 5.1 receivers because the flag isn't recognized. And even if you have a 6.1/7.1 receiver but only a 5.1 speaker setup, the EX information becomes irrelevant. You really need a rear surround channel to properly deliver the matriced soundtrack.

ok so here (locally) we got the collector's edition corpse bride with the awesome 2figures box set and the deluxe edition 3d slipcase with an exclusive book plus a bonus 4pcs magnet set exclusive only to the Philippine market.

Now for the question... does anyone have a picture or a link as to where I can see those exclusive 8 Artcards that are included in some other countries' release? I'm just curious of what those cards look like.

Saw this at HK... it's just postcard sized - with stills from the movie. Nothing exciting.

There's one more copy (including magnets) available in the store in case anyone's still looking.  ;)

Astro Megamall has racks and racks of copies of the DE, though I haven't seen any with magnets. I also saw a CE toy box there, which you can open. I don't know if that's just their display copy or if that's their last stock.

Just been there this lunch time... there are still 5 copies with magnets displayed in the racks located in the middle of the store... as for the CE displayed, I asked the saleslady if they still have stocks and she said yes, though I forgot to ask how many are still left... fyi.

Thanks RadicalDude.  I just got my DE copy with magnets from Astro Mega this afternoon.  I got the last copy with magnets. Unfortunately, the case of the magnets is damaged already.  Oh well, beggers can't be choosers :).

For those who are interested, I saw one DE copy with magnets at Astroplus Podium as of last Saturday (March 4) afternoon.  This copy was in better condition than what I got from Astro Mega which I bought 1-day earlier  :'(.  Of course this title is not part of the 3-day sale of Astro.

Just curious, are those magnet sets with the DE supposed to be all the same  ???  1 each of: Victor, Maggot, Victoria, and Corpse Bride?  The one I got is missing Victoria, but has 2 Corpse Brides instead.  Hmm, maybe 2 dead heads are better than 1  ;D
