To my knowledge, if you bought it brand new, they have a 6-month warranty on both parts and labor. After that, lifetime free service na lang.  ;)

My US Audio Sub 512 Mk II.. Broke down after only 6 movies and in very moderate volume kasi nga break in pa lang. Ni hindi ko pa nga natimpla mabuti bumigay na hu hu hu.

Actually, there was no sound coming out of the sub, not even kahit anong pink noise or what ever but the blue LED is glowing when i power it on.

Di ko lan gmadala pa sa service center nila kasi malayo at medyo mabigat and I'll be coming from the province.

Sayang Im planning to buy US-Audio sub, but after reading this thread wag nalang, how about yung Euros sub nila or DTX maganda kaya performance at durability nito? eh diba Daichi din gumawa? sayang balak ko pa naman ung Euros 8 setup naka bili na ako ng E8's center. mukhang mapupunta lang ito sa charity.

If you live in far away provinces, then maybe. If you live in Manila, then I don't see why this would be a problem for you. The only reason you may not be able to take advantage of their lifetime warranty is if you live so far from Manila and the product you bought is so bulky that you'd find it hard to bring to the service center. Even then, you could still find a way. I usually ship my subs via sea cargo forwarder if ever I buy one or have it brought in for replacement or repair. And I live in Bacolod.

In fairness to Daiichi, I believe they have great product quality and value. I've been using Daiichi products for many years now and there were only three times I had to bring in a product for servicing. First, when I burned a pair of SA-3s because I set the bass volume just too much for a speaker so small to handle. The repair cost me only 60 pesos for the pair. Second, when I bought an ASW-10DR, second-hand, from a fellow PinoyDVDer and it was already broken when I got it from him. Third, when I had my DTX 9.5 Bookshelf's box replaced since it got rained on and the box swelled. But besides that, all my other Daiichi stuff are still working great, all of them including those repaired for that matter, to date. I have a USAudio 512MKII bought second-hand from a fellow PinoyDVDer. The entire Euros 8 sattelite system (a pair of towers, a center and 3 pairs of bookshelfs), the entire DTX 9.5 sattelite system (a pair of towers, a center, and a pair of bookshelfs), a pair of CT-503s, 3 pairs of SA-3s, and a pair of LS-32s. All of which provided me with satisfaction. Peace.  ;) ;D

Thanks sir I live here in Manila, buti nalang at meron nag comment ng ganito, I had a Daichi brand speakers before pero yung mga newer models wala pa, kaya Im planning to setup a euros 8. actually I recommend this after auditioning it several times sa megamall and Raon and the performance is quite fine, kaya when I read this thread this are actual expirience of PDVD owners na discourage ako. well I think I need to research more on this Euros 8 series...

Thanks again sir arthurallanj...

Slightly OT, but to hopefully add to what sir arthurallanj has already said...

I currently have the Euros 8 towers and the DTX 4.12 subwoofer.  Sakura lang ang receiver ko.  And I'm currently using an old set of speakers from my Sony FH mini-compo as Center (naka-series ata sya, I used them as surrounds dati).  So far, so good.. enjoy ako sa tunog.  Part of the reason why I chosed Euros 8 is coz of that lifetime warranty.  So kung di rin lang malayo ang difference (based on ur listening preference) against other 'non-local' brands.  Why not, di ba?

Would just like to note, na nung kukunin ko na dapat yung Euros 8 towers ... I asked John abt the Euros center.  Out of stock daw.  So di ko sya nakuha.  Kelan mo nakuha Euros center mo bro?  At any rate, I'm contemplating on buying another Center (and it may not be the Euros, but that's just me).  Pero kung i-charity mo Center mo.. sige tatanggapin ko bro.  ;D

It's a sad reality about many subwoofers.  I also experienced disappointment once, in my
B&W ASW 675 subwoofer.  Costing 50K and coming from a reputable brand, B&W,
I thought I would be satisfied with the bass sound levels it produced and I thought
it would be able to withstand rigorous use in bass-heavy movies like U-571.

Sadly, it broke down twice and I had it replaced twice.  After the second breakdown,
I had it replaced with the Velodyne CHT 15 sub.  Now I'm very happy.  ;D
I think you are going to blow your eardrums first before hearing signs of 'distress'
from the CHT-15.

Moral lesson?
Get no less than the humongous 15" driver, Velodyne CHT-15/CHT-15R subwoofer!
No budget?  Save up! I promise you, you won't regret the price you pay for it
and you will not have problems anymore with subwoofer breakdowns or bass not
powerful enough.   Incidentally, the CHT-15 is on sale because of the arrival
of the newer CHT-15R model.  Get it while supplies last.

;D Kevlar

Disclaimer:
I do not sell Velodyne subwoofers and am not in anyway
connected with Velodyne Acoustics or their distributors.

try to contact dai-ichi if they will honor the warranty when you remove the plate amp and send it to them for repair. in this case you don't have to send the whole sub to them. usually the amp is the culprit if the sub ain't working.

Sir, I made up my mind, I think I'll continue the Euros 8 set up program. yung center I got it from raon just last Nov. 05 and hindi ko sya nakuha directly sa Dai-ichi according sa mega and raon wala daw stock yung Euros 8 center, pero nung nag scout ako sa raon at sinuyod ko isa isa ang shop I got one for Php. 2,100 at yung color pa na gusto ko black gray combination. and ang brand niya is "studiOacoustic". sir ito ba talga ang emblem ng Euros? pero infairness ang ganda ng tunog niya sa Yammy DSP2000, I plan to upgrade my receiver this early Jan or Feb. so unahin ko muna ang Euros 8 towers at receiver. pero siguro hindi na US-Audio na sub. Im thinking of cube or DTX...

They would still be willing to fix your problem even if you sent them just the plate amp, but how can you be sure that it's just the amp that's the problem? I think it's best to send the whole sub, I think the entire frieght costs would be less than a thousand pesos.  ;D

Yep, studiOacoustic din tatak nung Euros8 Towers ko.  As per Kevlar's reco... go get those large drivers.  Unfortunately, out of stock na ata ang DTX 4.15, but I think a DTX 4.12 would do well for you, too.

To clarify.. The brand name this product carries is Studio Acoustics, the model name is Euros 8, it belongs in the Euros series. Although it is still made by Daiichi. Daiichi has many brand names for their export market, Studio Acoustics being one, DTX another and also US Audio. I would also suggest getting the DTX 4.12 or any from the 4 series. A front firing sub like the DTX 4.12 is often much better than a bandpass sub like the USAudio subs.  ;D

Thanks sir, mas preferred ko talga ang front firing subs than those bandpass, by the way medyo OT to pero have you seen and heard the new KonZert powered subs? meron silang 12" and 15" at 500watts, maganda kaya performance at durability nito? kung susuriin maige parang cerwinvega na powered sub ang hitsura e...

Haven't seen nor heard any KonZert subs... but ask yourself this: would the KonZert's performance outweigh (assuming it can outweigh) the 'lifetime warranty' benefit you would be having if you buy a Dai-1chi?

AFAIK, Konzert products are made in China. No offense to Konzert and their consumers and chinese brothers, but I personally trust Filipino craftsmanship more than Chinese craftsmanship. Besides, my philosophy is often, buy speakers from a speaker specialist, buy amps from amp specialists and etc. Since Daiichi is a speaker manufacturer and specialist, I'd opt for them than Konzert who only used to be just a speaker specialist, but not anymore. Besides, the lifetime warranty is a major factor. Just me though.  ;D

Sir, kaya pala hindi masyado hit ang HT speakers system ng konzert kahit yung mga towers nila hindi ganun ka benta although cheap... havent audition them though. Dai-ichi are best coz their transparent, kahit dun sa showroom nila they really explain what material their speakers are made of...

Medyo OT to mga sirs, although, Im not against KonZert in fact I have KSS-10 for my in/outdoor use, no offense pero their quite fine naman, loud and boomy nga lang kahit walang sub. I hooked them up sa 502A match na match.

I now started my HT setup and already bought the Euros 8 center and hooked it up with my Yammy DSP2000 temporarily. as for my fronts I used my eivy E-10 which is naka post sa buy&sell pero mukhang wala masyado interested kaya Ive made up my mind gagawin ko nalang surrounds to, after the seasons over, I'm planning to buy a RX-V750 kung available pa if ever.

planning this set up for HT:
AVR - RX-V750
DVD - nextbase
center - euros 8
fronts - Kss-10
surrounds - Eivy A-10
sub - DTX or KonZert 15" 500W front firing sub
Display - B & S section, 2nd hand Sony flat.

Seen the US Audio, no offense but for me it looks ugly medyo old style ang asthetics and dont like the audio reproduction either, auditioned it sa Raon showroom parang malakas lang na radio speaker but yung sub medyo okey naman.
