Topic: SONY KF-E42A10 (3LCD Projection HDTV with HDMI)

It supports HDTV resolutions 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i but with a native resolution of 1280 x 720.

Has anyone purchased this SONY 42" model & tried using its HDMI input? Pls let us know your review on this unit. It appears to be similar in design to its KDF-E42A10 brother (which receives many postive reviews!)in other countries except minus a few features such as cable CARD slot.

It's selling almost at P180k at the moment which is pretty pricey

Yup, it's incredibly overpriced. You can get it for as low as (equivalent) Php125K abroad according to one of my friends. I almost bought it but couldn't justify the price difference even if they were offering it at 0% interest over 24 months.

Yes Firewired, really really overpriced...too bad this model isn't available yet in Malaysia before I came back but according to the seller, it's coming soon & the estimated price is around...yep...you're right again...only at the P120 range....so the local price here is really crazy! 

No wonder they can afford to have the 0% interest for 24 months promotion

After long delibaration & reading various positive feedback on the Grand Wega 3LCD series..I took the plunge & purchased this lovely set. PQ is indeed wonderful!!

Sorry bro, would appreciate translation in Eng pls as my tagalog is very bad  Got my set about 2 weeks ago about 5 days before the promo ended

Hey pchin, congratulations on the Sony 3LCD. I have to agree that it does have superior PQ over the current crop of DLPs in the market.

Tks firewired!    However, some argue that the Samsung DLP is as good as the SONY 3LCD & much cheaper too in the same size dept.

I didn't get the chace to test out the latest DLP (if I'm not mistaken it's the SP-50L6HR?) so I'm not really sure about the PQ but for the older model such as the 50" DLP  model SP-50L3HR in comparison to SONY 3LCD, it's a far cry.
