Well for me 46" is 4" better than 42"  ;D the bigger the better given the same features. And by the many happy and satisfied customers sir sonny has earned maybe its best that you get from him.  ;)

How big is your viewing room?  Bigger doesn't always mean better.  If you don't have the room, a 50" will look like total crap if you're forced to watch it from up close.  Masakit din sa mata.  I have a 44" DLP and I have to sit back 9 to 10 feet away.  I have another 3 feet or so in the back to set up the 3 rear surround speakers.

Syempre naman bro given na yung may space ka para sa size na bibilhin mo,i dont think yung question ni kt na 42" and 46" would make a big difference sa space nya ;D and 44"dlp at 9' away eh medyo malayo na yon kasi yung 96"diagonal min is 13' ft away lang for it not to look like a total crap. ;)

kt mas maganda itsura nung toshiba, may picture eh while yung samsung black screen lang ;D ;D ;D Bro its really up to you, your budget and your eyes ;) When my brother went home last xmas he bought my sister the samsung 50l6 dlp kasi proven na nya sa states ok daw talaga and cheaper pa ;D and based dito sa mga comments regarding service ok daw yung service ng SAMSUNG,yung toshiba i experienced na masyado mahal ang parts and service not that good, yung kasing 32''tv ko they charge me 1.5t just to demagnetized the screen kahit under warranty pa.IN short tingin nila mayaman pag naka TOSHIBA ka. ;D better ask mr.tuazon what he suggest kasi sya yung seller and i feel honest sya unlike other sellers ;D ;D ;D

Bring a few demo DVD (Superbit & THX) & try out both units to see for yourself. Only you can be the judge & nothing beats your own pair of eyes  ;)

The Toshiba has the IEEE 1394 input which may benefit those who use it to connect their digital device such as Video Camera.

The picture quality should at least match Sony's 42" 3LCD projection TV with nice black level details. PQ for THX movies such as Terminator 2: UE outputs great detail that near to high definition quality :)
