the slimfit 32" is 49K at Western festival mall and 51K at SM
add 5K for the home theater.

nakabili na ko last october 60K including the home theater (+5K) so di na masama. mabagal talaga magbaba ang samsung no?! tsk tsk

would like to upgrade sana since im waiting for my 2nd replacement but if the next in line for the LCD is still at 79K, im willing to wait some more

i just checked the samsung website, the 32 inch n series just dropped down in price to 119k. im not sure though if the package has changed or not.

Why don't you sell the freebies? I sold the "free" samsung 20" LCD and HTIB for P40K total...both were sold within a week.

Hiram ka muna pandagdag,

then sell the freebies to pay for it. Or find somebody who's willing to shelf out the money in advance to buy the freebies.

A student with that much cash...unusual...

If you can wait, I would invest all that cash in some asset management fund for 1-2 years...
to earn interest 5%-30% depending on investment type (read: note the risks in investing)...
like BPI or Sunlife.

When you start full-time work, you will have money kept away...plus a means to pay for these toys with the 0% interest "scam" with
your credit card and monthly salary... of course this will require some patience

or just purchase something your budget can handle right now. It took me about 7 years before I got my HT room setup just the way I like it.
Now I feel like getting rid of it

and just go with a plain TV and DVD player

Checked out some stores and the 32" R71 is down to 89,900. The 32" N71 is at 109,900. the 32" S71 still has the same price

Thanks. All Samsung (Sonoma, Mosel, Bordeaux) yata no close captioning... some DVDs kasi may Closed Caption pero walang subtitles, especially those from independent studios and from the early days of DVDs.

Check ko na lang those from other manufacturers... Thanks again!

Im sorry to say that it is true. They adjusted their price to counter the reduction in price of the other brands. Though you shouldn't feel so bad. There are no more freebies in the lower price.

I don't know if I should feel bad na P59900 na lang yung LA32S71B - when we've got it last Nov, p79900 pa SRP nya (with 21" TV or MP3 player)....

...although we got it at P75000 with the HT-Q20 HTIB and MP3 player (instead of 21" TV) - @12 months 0% interest....

Hi there. A few question for those with the 32" S71 (Sonoma), i am leaning toward this model as I feel the picture quality is good enough for me (over my current 26" 4:3 CRT), and as long as I don't compare it side to side with the Bordeaux or Mosel, I would probably be more than satisfied with the increased resolution both via Component cable and HDMI (with upconverting).

Q1: The Sonoma LCD is multisystem right? PAL / NTSC DVD are compatible? The Bordeaux and Mosel, both have the Broadcast System listed on the specs page (on Samsung's website) but not Sonoma, which have a shortened specs page.

Q2: There is only one version of this (Sonoma) series? The Singapore website have an X appended to the model number... (LA32S71BX), the local one doesn't, both are one and the same, or does the Singapore model have some additional upgrades?

Q3: For those who bought during the group buy, did you ask about the lowest price for this model, I believe the 48k listed on the group buy thread is based on the 20% off the SRP, so anyone got a lower quote than the 54k (59k less 5k cash discount) price being quoted at major appliance shops.

Techdude I dont know the specs of the Sonoma, I dont know what stores have you canvassed, but if you want one of the lowest prices check the western appliance stores they usually give good cash prices. . Try the one in ortigas behind shopsville beside national book store.

Just got a 32-inch LA32S71BX LCD TV for 59,900 (comes with free wall mount and DVD home theater) from Automatic Center. Xbox 360 is native using a VGA cable
